757 area anyone?

Looking for any fellow Jeepers in the 757 area that actually take their jeeps on trails and not just Mall Crawl.

Not anything that's legal in our area. I'm trying to find some people to do trails with in Northern and western virginia. I'm out of norfolk. What part do you live in?

Yeah I've played in nothing but mud holes and it gets boring after running though the same thing Everytime and always having to deal with the cops. But I know of several trails in western va. I drive a "11 Wrangler with small little 31s as of right now. I have a rough country front winch stubby bumper but they sent me the wrong winch plate so my bumper had a giant hole in the middle of it.

Dont go oceana. I use to go all the time has some fun hills to go up amd small mud holes. I haven't in half a year but I seen alot of ppl get busted. But none lately, if u do get and get out. That's how I played it before it started heated up.

Yeah everything in this area is shut down. There was a nice trail out by the airport, but they shut that off last I heard. Only real trails are out in the western part of VA. There is always some beach action down in the Outer Banks though. I'm always down for planning a field trip though.

And I usually go to the airport on Tim's Rd but the last like 2 or 3 times, cops have came(luckily it was a different one every time). but I'm looking for people who are down for day trips or even weekend trips. PM me if you guys wanna get together sometime.

Well you have Potts mountain, seen stocks go through it, but not easily, and without any skill, shoe creek will destroy a stock

It's right outside Lovingston, VA. The closest mailing address is Roseland, VA off Perkins mill road

Plenty, just not much that's public. Rock Crawlers for the Preservation of Future Access (RCPFA) comes to mind... they have a nice complex in the mountians just north of Crozet Va, about 10 min from x107 on I-64. You must have 31s to enter, it is private, and there is a per visit fee (you may also buy an annual pass). They also do, from what I understand, campouts and wheel-alongs a few times a year for members, guests, and those interested in joining. I am sure Mr Google could tell you more. You Richmond fellers really should look into joining. Iirc, it's a couple hundred bucks to join and get an annual pass, then you just hop on 64 and cruise out, wheel, camp, wheel, camp, wheel, go back home. Repeat 51 more times.

Also, the 'back side' of Shoe Creek, or the Big Levels complex, can be a fun ride. Not very hard and more fireroad than Jeep trail, but if you made a weekend of the B.R. Pkwy from SR56 (shoe creek) to I-64, or even up to SR33 (flagpole) or so, you could have some fun on several different courses.

That's what I really want to do. I want to go on a week long excursion of nothing but wheeling and camping. No phones, anything that will put me in contact with the rest of the world. Just a long getaway.

Check out big levels (rt 162, 162A, 162B) off coal rd, about a mile up 664 (mt Torrey rd, towards Waynesboro) from the lake Sherando entrance. You can google 'coal rd Sherando Va' on maps. The mvum only lists a few of those roads back there, so have a copy.

Perfect place to cruise through the woods and learn a little about your jeep.
