so we'll meet at your place, hit it from the daleville side, drive to the 311 side and turn around in the big creek crossing then come back over to the daleville side? sounds like a bad ass plan to me. As long as the trail isn't ice coming across that mountain pass. haha

That first mile or two is tricky when it's snowy and icy.

i could handle some soft snow on the trail. i just didn't like that hard packed snow/ice that was on there the first time we ran through the trail. i hope that stuff melted off a little more down to some gravel or dirt before it snowed again.

Yeah I know those guys close. The one with the white jeep is the guy that rode with me when I met you guys he is my best friend, goes to tech, knows jake and went to william byrd high and virginia western. Also in the middle of changing out my front right half shaft ujoint. There is so much rust and dirt up under my rig, pisses me off

Yeah I know shawn. Met him at virginia western kind of. He helped me with my ujoint yesterday how do you know him? Also bobletts gap gap is out in montvale about 25 minutes from downtown. At least one entrance. The other one is out in troutville area. I wouldn't mind going this weekend if I can get the jeep seaworthy.

Talking

I currently live off of Orange Ave in NE. At the stop light at Little Caesars, turn left and make your third right. My fiancee and I used to live in Franklin County, but our landlord passed away and his sons basically kicked us out and sold the place. That was just a few weeks ago. So were staying with her parents until we find a place. But thanks for the invite! I definitely would like to go with yall sometime. If anyone wants to text me sometime and let me know when yall are going it would be appreciated. My number is (540)525-6130. Thanks!

Welcome WranglerMan. I got your message but couldn't reply on my phone cuz its an idiot and won't let me post anything or reply to messages. But Ben (Work4Mud) told me that he already contacted you about tonight. The time is all dependent on me but I'm calling him after my band practice and we'll let you know when and where to meet. And as far as working on the Jeep I would be more than happy to help cuz unlike these other clowns I have a 93 YJ so we're in the same boat pretty much. If you need parts I'm going to some junkyards (if i can find better ones around here) sometime in the next few weeks and you're more than welcome to tag along.

And blaze as far the knockin goes I haven't had that problem. My most recent mystery noise is a sort of vacuum sucking noise right beneath where the 5 spd shifter would normally be and it only occurs when I'm between 1500 to 2500 rpms or until i get to a shift point (I have an auto tranny). Couldn't tell you what your noise is from though.

Thanks man! I appreciate it! I was suppose to go with them tonight, I had to work late. Hopefully we'll all get together this weekend and have a good time. And I can always use parts for my jeep. Just I need someone to look at my jeep and help me prioritize what I need to get done first because I don't know much about it I'm sure Ill learn though! Just let me know when ya plan on going and we can go together. Well talk to ya later!

Blaze - I'm down for Boblett's saturday. so is Ben and Matt. and I'm definitely down for Broad Run tomorrow night. Me and Matt just hit it tonight so I could check out how well my offroad lights were working. Its one hell of a bumpy ride though from where all the snow melted off. And the pit was frozen as solid as the Ice lake on top of that mountain. I walked all over it and not a single crack. haha. But hit me up tomorrow afternoon if y'all are going out there and I'll meet up with y'all. Also what time you guys want to hit up Boblett's on saturday?

We were thinking around noon saturday how does that hit you guys? We might stop for dinner somewhere on the way back to roanoke, we are gonna start on the montvale side around noon probably. Everybody know where that gas station is at the intersection of mountain view church road and 460? I think it is an exxon if memory serves me correctly

I know where the turn is to get to the trail head. Its where that Sheriff's car always sits outside the library or the old school. And there is an exxon further up if the school is on the left its on the right. I'd be good with noon on saturday.
