I saw your jeep in the classifieds. What makes you want to switch to a truck? Just bored?

PS I'm in Lynchburg.

I have had it for almost a year and just ready for something different, I enjoy when we all get together and go wheel but Id really like to have a lifted truck at this point.

I know its not worth near what your Jeep is but I should have held onto my truck for a while longer and we could have swapped I wish I had held onto it so I could actually wheel it now that I've got a crew to go with. After school is done I'm definitely going to look into buying a cheap beater of a lifted truck to wheel the hell out of.

Yea, the jeep is too nice to tear up. Id like to sell it, get something else nice and take some extra cash and get a beater to tear up.

My jeep is on the borderline of beater but once I put a couple grand more into it to finally line the tub, paint it flat od green, touch up the rest of my previous lining job, flush mount some tail lights, figure out something to put on my front bumper, and finally clean out the interior I'll have a solid mall crawler then I can turn my focus to finding a beater. Or I'll do everything to my YJ and keep wheeling it til the wheels fall off (when pigs fly) haha.

Getting all the fluids changed and new brakes and such on her tomorrow. Dropped her off at the shop today so I'm stuck with my granddads explorer sport trac til tomorrow after work. :/ letting the jeep go for even a day is depressing.

There is a big difference in price between poor and good when your getting the resale value of your vehicle. I dont ever plan on keeping something forever.

Well, that's the dilemma I've been going through. My Jeep only has 13k miles on it, so it's practically brand new. I'm hesitant to do much to it or with it just for that reason. That's also why I've been on the lookout for an older used Jeep so that I can have one and not care too much about it. Just haven't found the right one yet...

There are plenty of cheap YJs and CJs in North Carolina. A few around here but most are restored. And I'm not going for pristine condition. I'm just OCD about my vehicles. haha. I'll be painting it OD Green next paycheck and redoing my liner job. Anybody wanna help out? lol

I'm not sure of broad run but other than those 2 thee really isn't much. Unless its private land. You've got shoe creek in Amherst, very mild trail. And a few up north.

to get to Broad Run just go north on rt 311 from Salem, about half way between salem and new castle there will be an old run down cabin/store on the right, turn right, i'm pretty sure that that is Broad Run

Broad Run is just a little past the dragon's tooth trail head. It is St. Route 618 on the map and is just off 311.

So just curious, Broad Run is just state route 618 that runs up towards Daleville from near Dragon's Tooth? Looking at Google maps it looks paved but turns into something like a logging road? Or is there a trail off 618 to look for?

Correct, Broad Run is St. Route 618 on the map. it's a dirt/gravel/rock road with about 8-12 stream crossings. I didn't venture off the trail as I read that there are fines galore for going off. Pretty easy going overall. I ride completely stock on 29s at the moment and made it through no problem. Couple decent mud areas.

Bringing up an old thread. Anyways went to broad run yesterday with the wife and boy. It was pretty fun. I'm really wanting to go back this summer. Hopefully next time we won't be the only ones out there.

Where I went u could take your stock jeep. The only thing really done to mine is slightly bigger tires. If you ever want to go out there on a Monday or Friday let me know and I'll try to make it out there. But I think it would be a lot more fun during the summer with no top or doors
