Did you hear it today when we were stopped any of those times? it was mainly just when i started it up but now it does it continuously til i rev the engine over 3 or 4k rpm's then they seem to get back into place. how much would those run me? and which belt(s) would i need to replace. don't know how much my subs will get me but i need to do an oil change tomorrow, wash the jeep and save some money for another full tank of gas in the next week or so.

now you're talking about the intake port that comes out from the grill and goes into the air cleaner box right? gotta love redneck ingenuity. we don't need anything fancy, just a taco bell bag and a pressure washer. haha. i just don't want to get the alternator and starter wet then have it not start on me.

I hosed everything down and it was fine. I'd say you will be too.

and do they make skid plates or anything like that to fit somehow underneath the engine bay to keep mud from flying up through the engine like that. cuz in the truck my entire engine was as brown as my jeep was today after hitting a mud hole one time and it still wasn't clean even after three times getting hit with a pressure washer.

You can get one for the front but not sure how much it'd help with mud.

doesn't even look like the same mud hole. haha. but yeah. as far as the engine goes as long as all i need to cover is that air intake on the grill then i'm alright with spraying out the engine everytime. it needed a good washing anyways before i got it all muddy. but this is nothing. i'm gonna turn it solid brown this summer when the real mud is on the trails. haha. and i'm also buying plenty of plastic to cover my speakers when i take the top off and tear into some mud holes.

i feel like a raggedy bum compared to y'alls nice fancy hardtops. haha. my poor tattered besttop has seen better days. and the sound it makes riding in it, best described by someone else on the forum "like riding through a hurricane in a cheap wal mart tent" haha.

i feel like a little kid with yalls lift kits and 33s and 35s lol my little stock tj on 29s hahah i love the hard top but mine came factory with the soft top and soft uppers..the old guy before me put the hard top on it so i have no wiring to work the defroster or wiper on it..plus he put hard uppers with sliders on it and i have a huge love/hate relationship with them, for 1 their a pain..2 the sliders dont open up very far..3 they have a lot of gaps, ive used a lot of weather stripping around them and they still make howling sounds on the highway..but atleast i can open the windows when its freezing outside and not worry about cracking my soft uppers..but i love my soft top ;] when its on lol hardly had it on all summer, didnt put the hard top on till it got cold

I had the soft top when I first got the jeep, it was ok but I had to get a hardtop. I can take the hardtop off when I wanna go topless. Just can't take it with me, lol.

I have to take my dad to a dentist appt at 9:20 in the morning. shouldn't run but about half an hour at the most. We could meet somewhere around noon or 1 if y'all want. and we're going to be mudding then heading up to your place to shoot right wrangler? Just need to know so I can get all my ammo and such ready to take up there with me. And I'll be bringing towels, windex, and some plastic headlight renewer to hopefully help buff out the scratches and mugginess of my soft top tomorrow after getting it muddy so we won't have to use taco bell napkins again haha. And i've still got that present you left me in the back of the jeep ben. i was too lazy to clean it out today. but got the exterior sparkling again.

haha. we all have those days. no worries. but yeah we could meet up there around 1. i'll meet work4mud around 12:30 cuz i think we're about thirty minutes from E.R. and thats fine about the shooting. I'm mainly just wanting to get the Jeep dirty again. we'll fire off a few rounds at your place another time. Maybe if we top off for gas up there tomorrow you can take us to that other spot you were talking about past your place.
