Back - Looking to Go Hit the Trails

Well after the jeep sat in the Garage for 5 months, waiting for me to fix the clutch. I decide either it's too cold or I'm too old or both to get it done. Got someone to install the clutch for me.

Now I have tires and a lift to install, after that, I'm ready to get out and hit the trails. Anyone up for a trip?

I've been feeling the spring fever as the weather teases us. I'm up for a trip. What do you have in mind? GWNF, Rausch Creek, the new Choas park in WV, the new RedCloud in Woodbridge?

I got a fever, and the only prescription in more Wheelin!

Gotta a couple of plans. If I get my lift on next weekend I want a nice easy trip like flagpole. After that Rausch Creek. Third trip I was thinking maybe hook up with Jason down south. There are a couple Jeep badge places down that way.

So as plans go.

29 Mar - Someplace simple.
26 Apr - Rausch Creek (Right after spring break)
May - Trip to Windrock Tennessee??

LoL… Not sure if you are saying "Huh?" to the 'mouthful' comment or the fact that I sold my Rubi after one year…

Sold the Rubi because I got a new job that required a lot of driving and taking up to 4 adults out… so the 2-door Rubi was not built for either of those.
The 'mouthful' comment I made was because saying I have a "2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Ecodiesel 4x4" every time gets tiresome!!

All good here, just busy as hell. I would love to join the group going to see Reaper… only went out once with him, but that day was great and memorable. Actually, I would like to go out on all the trips you listed… but I am hesitant to scratch up my new ride! I am sure after the 'newness' wears off, that won't keep me off the trails.

I need tires… and a winch… and……………… so it continues.

The Summit Ecodiesel 4X4 sounds interesting. Looking forward to seeing it on the trail.

My jeep still has no dents or scratches, except on the under body. My last trip to Rausch I beat the crap out of it. The Transmission cross member was all beat up, blew a tire, and stripped a fender off. Then shortly after the TOB in clutch went. Jeep refused to fix it, cause of my off roading. Just got the clutch fixed and am putting a new lift and tires this weekend. Hope to hit less rocks, but then I'll probably just find bigger rocks.

I already reached out to Reaper, he is the one that suggest Windrock, so hopefully we can get on his schedule and a few of us can head down in May.

As for the trips, I wanna do something easy, the first time out after so long on the side line.

So this is the weekend I finish my lift. Started it last weekend but got to step two, "Take off tires" and couldn't find the keep to my lugnut lock. Was thinking about making a trip next weekend to Flag pole. Just want something simple to test out all the changes I've made. Wondering if anyone is interested in coming along?

I can't next weekend… sorry.

You don't want a diesel there anyway. Clean burning and all…
