I just registered... yes the campground is going fast, and registration prone to many errors... But I finally got a shaded site. It's the last day of school, so we might end up going up super early on Saturday because of the kids. We'll see.

I think it's called willow wood or something like that. It looks like it's gonna be a great time, a lot of cool events!

I'm also in Creekwood ... towing a Bantam trailer, look for four rigs from Newport News.
This is my second year and the best part is the "Jeep Invasion" where we take over downtown Butler with about two thousand Jeeps of every description. I didn't pay for all the extra trail rides and stuff because there is PLENTY to see and do without driving your rig. But the Saturday night PIGOUT is well worth the price.

See you there

I wish I could go. Coopers Lake is a fun spot, I went to school at Slippery Rock State University so it's my old stomping grounds. If you want a spot to cool off and hang out in the water go to Slippery Rock Falls. Also a good breakfast joint is the Camelot on main st. in Slippery Rock. A killer sub shop called Bob's subs makes awesome sandwiches.

Without a doubt, the Friday Night "JEEP Invasion" of downtown Butler. The cops turn away anything that is not a Jeep starting about 5:00pm. Nothing but a mile and a half of Jeeps of all descriptions, including some unbelieveably custom, backed diagonally against the curb.

The obstacles, trail rides, etc. appear pretty tame to me. I just paid for entry and the Jeep Invasion. The judged entries, visitor parking, vendor displays, etc. take up probably twenty acres so I had plenty of entertainment without driving, especially since I camped right across the street at the Cooper Lake Campground.

Went last year. Still debating this year. The Jeep invasion is so cool. Limped back with a few problems. Went in the mud pit and had over heating problems for a while until I got all the mud out. Still finding mud. Last time I do that. Had to be winched 3 times. In all my jeeping, including several trips to Rausch creek, I've only been winched 3 times. My ego is still bruised from that trip. We'll see how the lift and bigger tires help.

If you haven't been this is a great time.

Wish I was going, but I'm still fixing all the damage from last year. Looks like my water pump is now going.

Stay out of the mud pit!!!
