Alrighty boys and girls I am officially creating a jeepers club in Charlottesville Virginia. My idea is to bring all those, wether you be guy girl new or veteran together to share your passion for jeeping. My club is intended to give people the opportunity to get together talk about trails, help out on mechanical or electrical things with each other, enjoy events together ie things like camp jeep and possibly give back to the community. If you're interested or no someone that would be let me know. I was thinking of meeting this weekend to get everyone together.

Sweet figured we could all meet Sunday afternoon at the timberwood grill round 1
Sorry I didn't get this sooner. I'd like to have/start a club for c'ville too but I just haven't had the time. I'm not able to meet up at the grill on Sunday but I'd be happy to stay in touch to get something in the making on a roll. My idea for a club is first of all it should be free. I think all of the clubs out there charge a membership fee to pay for a website. We could come up with a way to recruit others to join other than fliers, you might invite a serial killer! A website would be great if it didn't cost much though.
I'll give it a think, your input is welcome as we could create this club together. Hopefully I can sneak away with my iPod and give some new ideas!

Lol it's cool Phil yeah I'm on the same page as you I'm not charging to be a member I just want people to get together to help each other out the only reason I would charge something would be for like t shirts or bumper stickers. Basically you get out of the club what you put into it. If you want to private message me about thin or exchange numbers we could figure this out over the phone

I own a bunch of websites and pay server space anyways - I can do a page for next to nothing - like $11 a year to register the name. I can host it on my servers. Just an offer... Sorry I couldn't make it today - work got in the way. :)

Hey guys, a web site for $11 a year! That's awesome! I really think that in this day and age it is necessary to be on the web. It would be 10 times more effective to have that on fliers to pass out. Plus it makes the club sound established. I wonder if the web site could have a forum page on it? If not it's no big deal, it would be neat to be able to use one for sharing pics and other discussions such as this forum presents.
Be thinking of a name, all I can come up with so far is Central VA Jeepers. I'm no good with naming things. I'll PM you all my number, it would be good to meet up sometime to discuss everything, it would have to be on a weekend though.

I've been doing this awhile now - better than 15 years... believe me when it comes to website names, short and easy to remember is *paramount*.

cvillejeep.com (org, whatever)
vajeep.com
centralvajeep.com
valleyjeep.com
etc....

I'll let the more creative types chime in with more :)

A guy I work and wheel with ( nicely built YJ) will definitely join and he knows a guy who owns a shop in Ruckersville called Mad Mattz Jeeps on rt. 33. I'll bet he would join, I think we could help each other out a lot! It would be great to have someone very knowledgeable and the club could be good for his business. He's got a badass TJ, YouTube has a video of him rolling it over backwards in Moab.

Once we agree on a name, I'll join and register the club with VA 4wd association and United 4wd to establish the club as a "Tread Lightly" group. I am all about staying on the trail and not tearing up the surrounding terrain.
I have a lot of notes written down tonight. I think this thing just might work.

Welcome to the Jeep world countrybumpkin and congrats on your purchase! You can learn a lot on this forum and once our club is established, you'll gain a lot of knowledge from other owners from maintenance, modifications, trail riding assistance... I foresee planned trail rides that stock jeeps can handle to more challenging trails, camping trips and wrenching parties...
I think we will have something great, no matter how big or small it is. After all, it's a Jeep thing, we gotta stick together!

I'd text you Pullsout but I cheaped out on the cell plan so I could have extra cash for the Jeep! I'm free most Saturdays and I have a good list of ideas, too many to type. It would be best to meet and hash them out with as many folks as possible. I know it is very difficult for anyone who works weekends or has family duties to attend a meeting but I don't want anyone to feel left out. I would happily accept emails or phone calls from anyone who wishes to be heard. Your thoughts/ideas would certainly be heard and considered. Just pm me and I'll give you my contact info.

"dirty minds"? Not sure that one gives the right idea bud! I was thinking more along the lines of a name that would invite anyone in VA with a Jeep that wants to take interest in being a member of a family friendly group that gets together. The web page could influence the folks that want to get muddy or just ride a trail. All are welcome but rules must be in place to sustain order on the trails.
