I recently got my first Jeep, a 2012 JK Rubicon and wasn't very excited about local dealership pricing. I ended up buying from Browns Jeep in Charlottesville for over $1K less that Pearson and Whitten. I used the TL discounts as a starting point but Browns and a few Northern VA dealers did much better than 1% below factory invoice. Send me a message with your email address and I can send you my spreadsheet with price breakdowns complete with OTD pricing. Good luck!
I personally think that you will be better off buying from a private party. There are several TJ's and LJ's on Craigslist and EBay within an hour or two drive from Richmond and you could/would save a lot of money that way. I certainly don't want to hurt the business owners, but it is a matter of $$$...!
Just saying...!
In any event, I hope you find what you are looking for...!
Sheehy Ford in Midlothian has a 94 Wrangler with 51k miles for 8k right now, I just bought mine from Auto Brokers of Ashland, they have a 93 there for 5k
Macs, I have been looking on CL for about 3 weeks now, they are WAY over priced. People are basing their price on Sentimental value and not Real Value, I am not paying 30k to a private seller for a 09, I will go buy a 2012 for 24K!!
You are right on that. I had to do a lot of looking around until I found the Jeep I wanted and encounter a lot of people that didn't understand that I am not trying to buy their memories, just the Jeep...
I agree. Buying new & slowly getting into 4wheeling is the best way.
I bought a brand new stock YJ up to silver lake sand dunes, & was amazed at what it couldn't do.
Same for manistee national forest.
I've still got my jeep & working on getting it running again. Looking forward to hitting the trails again.
Yeah I will slowly work on mine (after I finish my car payments) I for the most part will be using it just for driving on the beach down in Hatteras, NC
