Lol, if you want the rest of the loan that comes with it, it's actually not that bad. Probably put it on craigslist for 19,500 tomorrow, hoping to get enough to get a 97-99 with no payment. Anyone know of a good place to find one around Norfolk?

I live in VA Beach. I am down for meeting up for some wheeling, mud runs, trail crawls what ever. I thought about checking out the trails off Oceana a few times just haven't made it yet. I am a mechanic in the Navy (15yrs experience) so if anyone needs help spinning wrenches give me a shout, I will help out if possible.

Yeah I'm curious also... We should all get together and go there soon. I live in Portsmouth, about a mile from Chesapeake and maybe 10 mins from battlefield...

I have a friend that owns some private property in Pungo that has some good wheeling, but you need to have either a winch or lockers, and maybe even both... I also belong to a local Tidewater Jeep club that goes rock crawling in Crozet Virginia, also on private property, and it's a $25 one year membership, plus $25 dollars a day per vehicle to help pay for maintenance... PM me if you're interested in more information or want to set something up.

Welcome Dino! Which Base in Norfolk do you live by? I'm kinda smack in the middle between NOB and Little Creek Amphibious base. If you would like to meet some cool Jeepers that are local check out KMA Jeep club, KMA Off Road Forums - Powered by vBulletin? we're just a bunch of Jeepers that try to have fun and help eachother out.

We usually have a meet and greet saturday mornings at the auto zone on the corner of va beach blvd and newtown rd. Once a month we do a park clean near the oceanfront.

EDIT: I just realised I was talking to you on KMA's forum as well, didn't dawn on me at first, lol

Usually at 10 am Saturday mornings at AutoZone. Check KMA's forum out and look for the meet and greet thread. We've been kicking around the idea of meeting with some of the other local Jeep clubs in the area as well.

Be sure and check out KMA.org's meet and greet thread to make sure it's going on before you drive all the way from Sufolk though.

Shop?!? Why don't you do it yourself? It's rather easy. I've done about 30-40 engine swaps on Honda civics integers etc when I was in that scene, and I'm sure there's a bunch of guys here that would help ya out. I've got the stands, engine lift, air tools,( and once I get the compressor on the jeep we could even use my jeep to run the air tools! LOL) I live about 15 min from suffolk. Just let me know, I know that the Hampton roads jeep club has "wrenching parties" where everyone gets together and BBQ's and works on the rigs. Besides it would save you a bunch of money that you could use to get more cool stuff like lockers and lights etc. Just let me know. P.S.~ I found a couple of 4.0L on craigslist I'll see if try are still there.

That sounds like a winner n my book, i didnt feel comfortable enough to attempt it myself, i have no problem with the bolt on parts but an engine swap just sounded like more than i could chew, about the 4.0's u found, i have been lookin myself but wasnt really sure what i was lookin for altogether. I will keep lookin but by all means let me know if something is available out there. I am not trying to get u or anyone to do my legwork, but i rather someone who is more qualified to help with the pickin
Thanks

The next KMA meet and greet is this Saturday November 6. Start time is 10:00 am at the beach garden park in Virginia beach. The park is near Laskin rd, at the ocean front.
