Rausch Creek 2/16/2013

Couple of us are heading up to Rausch Creek Off-road park tomorrow. PM me if your interested in joining up.

Sorry for the late notice. If you have never been there they have trails that range from green, blue, red and black. Last time I went was the best off road experience I've had in my 4 months Jeepin.

I would kinda like to go but this would be my first trip with no experience or recovery gear. A little bit nervous.

You should come! We will be spotting to make sure nothing happens. We also have a decent bit of experience at this.

Needless to say Rausch Creek was way too much fun. I think it's great in the snow. Hearing Jason, over the radio saying, "Holly S**t" at the first trek off the main road was a sign the day was gonna be fun. I've posted a few clips. I wish my camera had been working for the first half. The blue we did was pretty amazing and yes, Jason went one route I chose to do the cut off.

Fire Pit. This doesn't look like much but from a perspective it is the most vertical I've had my Jeep. When the rear tires went over, I could feel the momentum of the rear move up and though I was gonna plant my front end in the ground. After getting in we were faced by a track the completely buried the passenger tire.

When we started out on the trail, we had a couple inches of fresh snow on the ground. Literally we were blazing a trail in fresh snow. The pit and hill were both untouched when we got there. This is my second trip to RC in snow and both times have been fabulous.

Know the trails you ran, like their actual names? I am more of a rock guy so snow + rocks = not as fun, but looks like you had a good time. I was trying to figure out what trails you were on but didn't recognized them with the snow.

We stayed on greens most of the day looking for mud and hills. Agree about rocks and snow, but we were able to take a couple of blues and the snow didn't make our rock crawling too hard.

Sorry I wasn't paying attention to the trail names. We mostly did all the greens on the west property.
