Rausch Creek Off Road Park

There was a 4-runner in my neighborhood with a big sticker on the back that said "Rausch Creek OffRoad Park", and so being a new Jeep owner, I thought I'd go look it up. Looks like a pretty fun place to go spend a day. Anyone been up there? It's about 2.5 hours north of me (I'm in the Reston/Herndon area). Might have to make a trip up this summer.

Its the best placed to go wheeling east of the Mississippi river. Tons of trails of varying difficulty. $15 yearly membership required. $35 for a day of access. Check there forums they usually have a guided ride on the easy green trails, they also have a 101 course where an instructor takes you around and shows you how to a bunch of different types of obstacles. i.e. Uphill, downhill, on the side of a hill, off-camber, steep approach angle, high breakover, water holes and stream crossing.

The group I wheel with typically go every 2-3 months. I took the 101 with a couple of friends and been up there for Topless for Tatas. Definitely a great and fun place to wheel.

We're targeting to go sometime in the spring. Let me know if you're interested.

I'm located in Chantilly

Absolutely let me know! I'm in Sterling, so you guys will drive right by me on the way up.

My Jeep is lifted and has 33's, so it's screaming "find some dirt" at me (ok, well right now it's screaming "Holy hell it's cold!", but whatever. )

RC is a great place to wheel. I used to live in Fairfax (,off 236). I still visit a sister in Va. Alexandria. Any good places to wheel in Va.? I'm always looking. Give me a heads up. Any chance you get to go to the Creek is a guaranteed good Time. Nice people and usually a good crowd to help if necessary.

Red Cloud, Peters Mill, and Flagpole are the popular places to wheel in VA.

As far as wheelin' places go I've heard about a place around Lorton (between Rt. 1 and 95) called Red Cloud Off Road park. Haven't been yet but watched some videos on youtube and read some reviews from members in the forum you've gone and it looks like a decent park. Their website says 200 acres with different trail difficulties,$40 for a day, with runs about every other Saturday. I'll get over there sometime.
