Lol, that was a weird situation for sure. Still the scratch is proof of your offroad experience!

Thanks! Trail badge
I showed a jku what the wave was all about today as I was topless and doorless and they were running the AC and not waving to anyone! It was so sad.

I'm feeling like I want to hit this next weekend. How does this compare to Flagpole and Peter's Mill, and can someone send me the location of it and the trails? Also I assume this is doable by a stock TJ?

Fine for a stock TJ. GPS coordinates are in this thread a couple pages back. I'd link you but I'm on mobile.

Never been to either but im all stock and have no problems on the main trail. there are all kinds of side trails I wouldn't dare hit nut you will be fine.

Like robin said look a couple pages back. I posted the coordinates on one.

Cool, thanks. I have a buddy going with me with a nearly stock TJ and no skids so I had to be sure.

Is the run out and back or point to point? And about how long does the run typically take?

Also I don't recall if I found this link here or on a different site but this has the coordinates for Shoe Creek. Virginia Legal OHV Trails - Google Maps

Out and back. Drock said there's a way out at the end but we didn't go that way. We made it about a 4 hour trip. Depends how fast you go and how much you stop.

If you start at the bottom and go to the top it's less than two hours. Same the other way.The bottom is Perkins road. The top is Montebello.

Thanks for the info. We are thinking about heading up there to check it out this weekend or maybe next. Would like to connect with a group on one of the trips so I will keep my eyes open for any plans coming together.

Thanks again!

Well, I'm planning on going June 9th weekend. But we will have to do another trail as a group if someone else knows of a good one nearby. Or at least hit up shoe creek again.

I'm down for 6/9. I'll be back from Canada on 6/1. Wish I could have gone with everyone on 5/12, but I had to fly out the next day. Wish I had the TJ up here near the Rockies. I don't know if she could handle it, but I sure would like to try.
