Would shoe creek be a good ride for somebody new to the trails? I was thinking of heading up there one weekend in the next few months, but other than a small local trail, I have not been trail riding with myself behind the wheel. And I don't want my inexperience to get me 1.lost or 2.in a position I can't get myself out of.

I never had done anything before I met with cory a few weeks ago. Only on quads but not jeeps.

You will be fine just go with a group. It's not a difficult trail by no means and you can go around the obstacles. You could come meet with us here in a couple weeks. When Brian, Steven and I went was pretty much first time I've went trail riding other than at a friends house

I have only done the power line trails and there's a trail with a few holes and ruts behind a trailer park. I haven't checked out some of the larger spots off the trail yet though. All local and fairly easy going.

Just go with a group and you will be fine. This is a great spot for learning as there is easy routes to bypass the big obstacles and you can pretty much just follow the leader. Fun times though. I've pretty much decided to try to go on the 12 of may so I hope to meet you guys there!
