I think so, I usually camp the night there too. It's just a really pretty area and fun trails that can be easy to challenging in spost

No problemo! Just keep your eyes open for alternate routes around the difficult spots and its pretty stocker friendly. Hope you can make it to one with us as this seems like it may turn into a regular outing for us. May even be the start of our own little 4x4 "club" .

Agree with this^ the few clubs I have looked at either have mandatory meetings every week or make you pay money or are mostly older men who get crazy drunk before and while they wheel and meet.

I just want to meet up to wheel and have the occasional planning meeting if needed Nothing serious and nothing that involves so much alcohol you can't see straight.

I don't drink, and I'm underage, so maybe I don't understand the fun of it.

Been to Shoe Creek numerous times and it is pretty much stocker friendly. There are a few obstacles with by-passes. The main trail is the only legal trail at Shoe Creek, there are roads that branch off but they are private property according to the Forest Ranger.

I belong to a few clubs and drinking is not tolerated on the trail The latest (April 2012) Richmond VA club to start up is the RVA Rock Crawlers. You can find out more information at http://www.meetup.com/RVA-Rock-Crawlers/ as this is a family friendly Jeep Club with no mandatory meetings or dues.

Think I am the oldest one of the bunch at age 56. Who know I just might come out and wheel Shoe Creek with you folks but it depends on my schedule. John

Id feel younger if you came! lol. I am down for creating a club just figured we play it by ear and make sure we actually enjoy ourselves first! lol. The guys I normally ride with have been thinking about it too but just getting together and having fun has worked for us for several years now. I think my favorite part of creating one would be to design the name and logo for a cool sticker to sport!

There is nothing wrong with "older men getting crazy drunk" but not while or before wheeling.

Nothing wrong as long as you're not behind the wheel I am only speaking from
The experiences I have had...but I am willing to keep looking. I don't think I've checked out any family friendly ones...I'm not sure why haha. A friend linked me to a few sites so those are all i have checked out.

It's not good to get drunk while or during but it does make it a little fun with a couple in you

Yea you definatly have to be able to have fun with everybody and even if there is no actual "club" you can still call it whatever you want. But id be down to wheel anytime with any of you all

LOL, wheeling is great when you are with the right folks.

Thus the sticker, "More Wheeling, Less Drama".

Oh nah where in Lynchburg are you coming from. Whichever place on 460 works. Cause no use in you going the opposite way if we coming that way. Depends which is closest to you where we can meet you

I'd say like 10 or 11 would be a good time to be there but should be able anytime. I've got like a two hour trip so nothing crazy early.
