I'm near Mt Vernon

I get out as often as I can... usually every month or so to friends' places. Nothing great, but it's at least a little dirty. I was recently looking at GW forest because a friend just got a jeep (first owner) and he wants to get out. I want to take him somewhere mild. I'd say that I'd be up for a weekend out if I can get a couple of others interested.

I'm in Woodbridge too. I haven't been on any trails yet but that's because i want to get mine ready first. Most of the organized rides aren't stock friendly.

I'm near Mt Vernon, and a buddy who has a new jeep is interested in getting out for at least a long day to do some trails. I thought I'd take him out to G.W. forest for a start. We'll probably be looking for folks to join. Right now, we're talking about early Sept.

Getting out to GWF

Aspenskibum, that's fine. I've heard that the trail out there is pretty docile, but I'd still suggest several vehicles. As soon as he's back from SE Asia we'll get something scheduled and put out an invite.

Sept. 24th and 25th a few friends and i will be heading to Shoe Creek. Unless we find out that it to has been closed. Taskers Gap has been closed due to flood Damage. So far we have 4 Jeeps Going and would like to get a ton more. Will possibly be camping the night of the 24th. And Moving on The Next Morning. Would like to get a larger Group together. Peters Mill Gap is Ok but goes by rather Quickly, 1 Being that the lower half is closed as well. If anyone is interested in going along, Well the More the Marrier.

Hope to See A Buch Riding With Us.........

KMA off road Jeep Klub, KMA Off Road Forums - Powered by vBulletin? is going to NC next weekend for our yearly Klean the beach event. Sept. 17th and 18th. We will be out there picking up trash and debri from off of the beach, and anyone who is interested is welcome to come join us and help out! I'm sure we'll take a few breaks to run some of the dunes and trails from time to time while we're down there

Im from md but looking for some info on shoe creek. I have a rubicon with a 3 inch and 33's but my buddy has a stock sport. Would he have alot of issues getting through? He's not too worried about beating his jeep up but doesn't want to break anything to make it undriveable home.

depends, last time i went i found a new trail on it...prob 2 or 3 miles max but its a ton of fun, plenty of rocks, biggest obstacle is Slick Rock, ive only personally seen 2 jeeps make it up, and watched a cherokee shoot a driveshaft out about 15ft on it lol

Hey all! I bought my 2012 Rubicon last week and would love to take on a trail. Is this too late in the season?

Ahh, then your not that far away! Just a bit over an hour from here. I am about 15 minutes from George Washington National Forest, there is a couple of trails there.... Anytime on the weekends is good. We ( the Wife and son ) went out yesterday... And ran Petersmill Run. About 6 miles or so. Nothing insanely crazy.... And at the end we hit the Woodstock Firetower for a bit..... The views are amazing..... There was actually a good bit of trail riders out yesterday..... Jeeps, and atvs. Your probably about an be and a half away.... Come thru manassas on 234 to 66 west. when you Merge with 81 south you are pretty much there..... Just minutes away anyway..... Anytime u might be interested let me know and maybe we can get a bunch together for the day!!!!!!!
