I wish!!! but we should try to do at least twice a year! We could make QS&L our meet up spot for that camping trip you wanted to plan, then head out to the location from there!

I'm a big supporter of Wounded Warrior, but i also wouldn't be opposed to donating to Hurricane Sandy relief. There are still a lot of people struggling with the aftermath.

I am sorry, but I have something against donating to Hurricane Sandy Relief, there are enough benefits and such happening with big stars to help the people in NY and NJ while the people in NC still can't get on and off the island without an emergency ferry that only runs every 2 hours. Yet no one is helping these people. There can never be enough support for our wounded heros though!!!

I never specified NY/NJ. If there is a fund for NC, put it there. Also, the celebrity relief is a joke. People aren't going to see that money.

I realize this, and unfortunately there is no real relief fund for Hatteras, a lot of the people have already rebuilt, however, the island is still inaccessible, and the federal government nor state government is really doing much. Sorry, as a property owner in Hatteras, NC and seeing the neglect down there just puts a bad taste in my mouth lol

The only real way to help hurricane relif is to mobilize the 50 jeeps packed with needed items and to lend a hand cleaning up for the day. If you could actually mobilize something like that, I'm sure Jeep and some off road compaines like Quadratec, Rugged Ridge, etc might help supply the equipment (bottled water, food, etc)... NY/NJ/NC or waiting until the next one (destined to happen again somewhere) I'd be down to help plan and get that moving.

Would any of you NoVA Jeepers be interested in doing a wrench party sometime after christmas? I am asking for a lift kit and don't really have the tools or know how. I would consider any suggestions to make it worth your wild!

I'd attend (if work schedule allows)!! don't know how much help I would be as I don't have all the tools needed... only some...

I had my lift installed for me, broke my heart but didn't have the tools and had a busy work schedule... time is money

Should run about $850-900 based on what lift kit you got... which is expensive but, you're in NOVA and really won't find much cheaper unless you drive north, south, or west a few hours to find a cheaper shop.

I took mine to High Tech Auto & Truck... ask for Bobby or Jay and tell them Steven Queen sent you 703-968-6648... they do great work.

Might happen soon.....

Assuming that the European and the GFS esembles are reasonably close in their depiction of the overall pattern in the 11-16 day ( DEC 14-19) it is possible that there may be a system developing over the southwestern states that it could move through the Deep south and pose a threat to portions of the Midwest and the Middle Atlantic states at some point.
