I may be interested in doing this. Is this a family friendly event I could take the wife and kids to? Or just my son if the wife doesn't want to go?

Do they have more beginner trails? I'm a newb on off-roading...

minesbigger ... check out MPJAI.com ... Middle Penninsula Jeep Assn. We are sure to have a dozen or so rigs going.

keviper1 ... Wheeling for Hope is sold out but they have a waiting list, check their website. Yes to most of your questions, although some of the trails are challenging, most obstacles have go-rounds. But they don't specifically rank the lines by experience, i.e. "Newby" "Experienced" etc. Virginia 4-Wheel Drive Assn. holds an Annual Trail Ride on the same property, Oak Ridge Estates, in September. Also a great time.

Thanks, pcwolf! Are you still doing that trail clean up you posted about a while back? I think it's in April? I'd like to help if it works with my schedule, could you PM me details? On my iphone and don't remember thread name?...

Bring 'em. My kids will be with me (5 & 9), the wife is a maybe. She went there with me last fall and had a good time though. Almost everything has a bypass or an easy/medium/hard option, and it's usually a great group of guys who are more than willing to help out those of us with less experience. It was my first trip last April, and I would have been done by lunch the first day if left to my own knowledge...fortunately it was a 30 second temp. fix, and one of the guys showed me how to keep her going.

I'll be heading down midday on Friday and setting up with a few of my neighbors.
