Hey everyone. Well I just bought my first Wrangler and I'm really looking forward to a ground up restoration. I'm going for a surf fishing machine. I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction with info on pulling the body off the frame. You know, maybe a good shop manual or other instructions. Let me know and thanks!!

Hey all you Jeepers out there. Just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope Santa brings everyone something really cool for you favorite Jeep. Well I finally started the frame off resto on my 88 YJ. Yup, I drained the radiator. Well It's a start. I picked up some overtime assignments at work so after the first of the year I should have all the parts to complete the frame and suspension. I'm going to powder coat most of it in an attempt to keep the salt air from eating away at my surf fishing machine. Well take care and when my old butt figures out how to post some pictures I'll show you my progress. Gunny out......
Hey Old Gunny. Share some pics if you have any. Like to see what you start from.

Well I got a 4" Rough Country Suspension Lift, all new poly bushings for the body and frame and a steering stabalizer. Found 5 rims with 31's on them so i think I'm off to a pretty good start with new parts. Next week I'm going to try to get all the ball joints, tie rod and all the tie rod ends. I also hope to get all the brake rotors/drums and brake parts. Next week I'm going to start work to remove the body from the frame. Take care Jeepers...Gunny out
Well Murphy's Law slammed me but good. The head gasket in my daily driver, 2001 Cherokee, blew. So the money I was saving for some new YJ parts has to go to the Cherokee. Oh well. Should be a fairly easy fix. Just sucks. Anyone that's replaced one of those got any tips?
Well the head on the 01 Cherokee is bad and at this point I don't think I want to put the money into it. I would rather put it into the 88 YJ I have. So if anyone needs a part for a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado, or anyother vehicle that it will fit, send me a PM and I'll tell you if the part is still there and serviceable. The body is in great shape. No dents or rust. All the glass in good with good power window motors. Actually there's alot of good parts to be had and I'm not looking to get rich off of them. If I don't get any bites for the parts within the next week or two it will go to the scrap yard. Let me know...Gunny Out!!
