I ordered the RK 2.5 Flex. I'm going to end up with the 3.5 max travel eventually. The rear control arms turn it into the 2.5 max travel and 3.5 springs will lift it apparently. AEV's site says that most of the parts are different going from the 2.5 to 3.5.

Now I just need another $550 for shocks and bump stops.

I'm probably going to be moving in a couple of months and the weather will be getting cold by then, but I'll be at a place between Martinsburg and Shepherdstown that I can host a meet up at. That or we could pick a parking lot some where. I know all the kids with the compact sport cars like to hang out infront of Buffalo Wild Wings.

Sounds like you've got it planned out. I just ordered a set of Bilsteins for mine today. Hopefully it'll ride better than the crappy Rough Country ones I have now

I've heard it's a night an day difference. On the advice from Jason @ Krawl Offroad (who I bought my Ace rails and lift from), I've decided to go with the Fox 2.0's. He says they all run them on their DD rigs and that they're good on road and off. They're a little more expensive than the Bilstiens, but not so much that it'll break the bank. They're not $200 each like the Fox with the piggy bag cartridges. I think they're about $115 each on most sites and Jason gave me a price of $160 shipped for all 4, so it's basically like free shipping with their "forum discount".

Their shipping isn't as fast as some places, but for the customer service and the prices, I'm going to stick with them unless I have to go elsewhere to find a part they don't carry.

$160 shipped for all 4? That's killer, I thought $298 shipped was good for the Bilsteins I got, guess not. Lol

Haven't seen that one (yet). I have seen a real nice JKU running around, all blacked out with 35s and a lift. It looked pretty badass.

A friend's parents offered to buy my stock wheels and tires, so that will pretty much pay for my rear bumper when I finally get my new ones.

I just picked up an 88 Sahara with a SBC in New York. It is going to be my project car.It needs work, but the mechanics are strong. It has a couple of issues that I would need an open minded shop to get my inspection with.

Tires beyond flares, etc. If anyone knows of a place please message me. My normal place is very up tight and not going to work.

I have learned inspections are a challenge to lifted jeeps. Went to two places today and learned that fender flares are on everyone's list. I even had the place in Bunker Hill tell me I needed my catalytic converters on my headers. This is going to be an interesting project.

That surprises me, considering emissions aren't even checked in this state. I have a '94 Camaro and I'm running catless. I've never had any issues with getting it to pass any sort of inspection.

Thanks for the offer on the flares. I ordered some several days ago and will be putting them on this weekend. I will also be rewiring my horn. It doesn't work either. Hopefully the new flares will work or I will get some cheap tires off of craigslist.

No, we all know that a jeep has to have a special inspection. What about a contraption like this.

Anyone interested in some Goodyear Wrangler silent armor kevlar 31/10.50's on Cragar black wheels with about 8k miles on them? Take stock wheels and tires plus a little cash. I have a pic if interested

Just a warning of sorts, don't depend on a forecast from the night before. It was supposed to be a small chance of showers today so I was in Hagerstown with the doors off. I stopped by my friend's place about five minutes before it started pouring down and I had no doors on. I ended up parking under a tree hoping it would mitigate some of the rain but it didn't. It was raining sideways and I now have a wet jeep. Oh well, a few towels on the seats and I made it home. With some help from a shop vac, it'll dry out.

I'm on my way back from Delaware and if the whether home is anything like what it was in Delaware, it's definitely a great day!

I have some friends coming down from PA next weekend (they're stayin' the weekend). We're gonna try to get this hoist up in my garage one of those days so I can finally lift off the hardtop. Anyone have experience installing one of these Harken Hoists? I'm a bit nervous about getting this thing up, even with help. I'm a bit concerned about the damned thing pulling out of the ceiling, and of course, the top crashing to either the floor or on to my Jeep.

Anyway, I'd be game to have a few people over one of these weekends for some BBQ or somethin'...
