What I'd like to know is how a 4300 lb Charger with the same engine manages to get nearly 28-30 mpg with this same engine (3.6L), because I just can't believe it's all aerodynamics...
Got nearly 23 on the way to Ocean City. You have bigger tires and lower gearing. Put some 17 in wheels with low profile tires on and you'll see great gas mileage.

That's really good. I think the Rubicon does have 17s, but those tires are pretty tall; they're probably pretty heavy, too.

And I'm running 3.21 gears vs your 4.10. Mine's going to be a bit of a slug once I put the 35's on, but I'll be upgrading to 4.56 gears. Bye bye gas mileage!

You may get better gas mileage with the 4.56s than with the 3.21s because the engine won't be bogging down nearly as much.

That's what I'm figuring too. I don't think I'll ever see nearly 23mpg on the highway after that though.

You'll probably be lucky to see about 14.5 mpg after the tires and lift...

Hey, thanks! I guess I'd have to see it on a silver JK before making a decision, but if I like it, sure!

It does look pretty cool. I dunno if I like it any better than the standard BMS grill on a stocker, but it looks really good on a modded one.

I'm near Ranson, I have a YJ so I guess I'm not allowed to hang with the younger crowd. However,I would mind trying some off roading. Nothing to serious. Its been years and I am not overly confident in my rig yet.

I grew up with a pet dinosaur. My daughter drives my jeep and hates the steering and suspension. Likes the power though.
