Coming up on 48. Too many kids to be able to afford a JK. That's why we have YJ project jeep.

You'd probably spend less on a new JK than a YJ project!

That means we'll be cooking our own food AND serving ourselves!

I have a little over 8 in it now. The mechanics are just about done. The only thing left is the body. Not much rust so I am going to try that myself.

I have about $17,000 tied into the Camaro...and I'm NOT getting ahead. I think it's nearing the time to let the ol' gal go.

Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but the softtop is still stowed in the vehicle and must be removed, according to the dealer information. This is my first Jeep, and despite reading instructions from the Owner's Manual (online), I'm just not sure how to remove the softtop.

So anyway, if anyone is in the area and would like to lend a hand, I'm offering some free beer...well, money to go get beer.

Con Artist,

I somehow just came across your thread after 157 some odd posts. I don't how I've missed it for so long. Anyway, I've been away from the valley for about a year now, but still have a place there.

Is it OK if I just kind of hang around to keep up with the local DBurg and KVille happenings?

Not sure, Will. I think he thought we were serious about him not being welcome to hang with us.

I sent him a PM last night just to let him know we were joking with him...

I picked up a set of rubi rails last week for $150 that are now on the Jeep.

I do my best work after a couple cocktails.

Then maybe you'll need to recheck your work after hitting the BWW's!

Good deal on the rails!

Hey boys, another dirty burg!! Well born and raised but I come and visit the folks now and then. They live off route 11 right near the airport. I'm only 2.5 hours away in southern Maryland. Got a 2012 sport back in July and I've been loving it. Planning on getting a lift and tires pretty soon and shipping them to my parents so ill drive up for the install. Planning on the AEV 2.5 " and 35" tires. I would love to be part of a jeep meet.... And could use someone's experience installing the lift. Beer supplied of course

Except for the DW, my Rock Krawler has been awesome. That and it's much more upgradable than the AEV. I do think I have the DW figured out though. It looks to be an issue with the bolt size, which is a Jeep problem and not a RK problem.
