places to wheel

I have been trying to find places to wheel and I just wanted to start a thread of good places to wheel legally anywhere in the state. It would be great if we could set up trail rides etc.

Hatfield McCoy trails is opening a new section of trail just south of Charleston on July 1st. It will also be open to Jeeps. I cannot wait. It will be well mapped out, and easily accessible.

Seriously!!! there are all kinds of ATV trails out there but jeep trails are few and far between. That's awesome about the Hatfield and McCoy open part to jeeps and I am moving back to Charleston in June! I used to take my WJ out firetrails around the Kanawha valley but they weren't anything more that dirt roads I have been trying to find more but not much luck. Where is the Hatfield and McCoy opening up at? Wouldn't it be great if they opened up the whole thing to jeeps!

The HMT trailhead is going to be at Alum Creek. That's all I know. Not sure of exact location.

Installed my bumper and winch yesterday. Ready to hit up the trail system in Alum Creek when it opens. Looks like they are calling it Ivy Branch.

Butchers Fork = Lewis County

Ervin Road = Lewis County

Gool Holler = Lewis County

County Line = Lewis/Harrison County

5-points = Wood County

WildCat = Webster/Lewis/Upshur/Gilmer County

Hatfield & McCoys = outside of Charleston

And honestly, those are the only places I know. I'm for sure there's hundreds more... but WildCat is out past Walkersville, near the run off of StoneWall Jackson Lake, and WildCat is more than 30,000 acres of nothing but woods, trails, rivers etc.... it's a beautiful piece of land. If you ever go to WildCat.... you'll see what West Virginia is aalll about.
