need help in WIchita

Anyone here from Wichita? New to the forum and Jeeps. Traded a 2011 Rzr for a 97 tj. ive vot death wobble... Replaced trac bar, balenced tires, adj the toe. Buying hubs Friday. if these dont fix it, ill burn that b!tch to the ground lol

4 rough country. New bds adj trac bar, 1/8th" toe, freashly balenced tires (9 Oz on one is the most weight). When I got it, one wheel had 45 Oz! Ordering hubs Thursday.

Ohh and it had 1 1/8th toe... It used to wobble around 45mph with all that mess on it, now its at 20.

Have you had the caster checked? It doesn't take much play at all in any of the steering to make them wobble. If you need me to I would be willing to look underneath it for you. But if you have not taken it to a good alignment shop I would do that first. But I do mean someone you can trust.

I took it to axle wheel and alignment. The guy looked at it and said trac bar... The little hole on the caster cams are on top (I assume thats the middle, as in I can still go forward?) Alignment shop is next after the hubs go on.

Ok they are usually set to the middle setting on caster. Most of them need an eccentric cam installed to adjust. I usually use Atlas Frame and Axle but the other place might be just as good. If you have someone who can move the steering wheel back and forth with you underneath it you can see how much the front axle is moving and what might be loose. If everything is tight then do the alignment. Did you check or replace the steering damper?

I had to remove the dampner to install mew trac bar. I was told they just mask potential problems and if everything was right, I wouldnt need one.

Hmmm I am pretty sure its critical. Does the new trac bar not have a provision for one? Some guys with really big tires and lifts actually run two of them. I haven't tried mine without a damper but I know when they are shot they sure drive bad. I will do some more checking for you. I did wheel alignment for years but didn't work on a ton of lifted stuff. However the same principles should apply.
