quite possibaly a good get together in ElDorado Ks.

On July 9th just outside of town there is a mud run.

I know that some of you hate mud but I am helping with the planning and organization of this event, and I will also be competing in it.

I am unsure what the cost is to watch is, as well as to compete.

What I do know is that it is family oriented, close to quite a few of ya'll and is really entertaining for the whole family. There is a class for everything from ATV to tractors, all the way to the "big boys" running alcohol and boggers.

I would like to see a good turn out so the landowner will allow us to keep this event happening and hope that it will grow each time.

Directions:
Take the 196 exit off of 254 and turn south. The road will start to curve to the east and you will go over the turnpike. Stay on the blacktop, the entrance will be about 1/8 mile after the first house on the south side of the rd.
***EDIT: I am 99 percent sure that there will be sings ***

Hope to see anyone that can attend. Bring friends, family, ect.

Agreed.

I'll likely be there. Sounds awesome (but I'm not running, stupid mud)

You and Tex are the odd ducks in the pond. Everyone else here knows each other. So please move along so we can go back to our regularly scheduled program.

New record eh? Read the forums rules.

My statement is directed at everyone in this thread. Name calling and starting arguements just for grins is not welcome. If you wish to do so...find another forum. Or the Staff is more than willing to help you leave this one.

New record for you shutting down an argument. Not a new record for me getting one shut down. It was kudos to you. I was all in good humor, not trying to hurt feelings

Mr. Clifford,

If you are calling me a "hill billy" I think that you have acquired the wrong term. I believe the correct term would be (for the majority) would be "rednecks". I can explain to you later what the difference is. As far as your so called "flopping" around in the mud, you are incorrect again sir. The goal is to stay in your vehicle, and drive through the hole in the ground filled with dirt and water which created this thick substance called "mud". This mud is difficult to drive through.
Some of the best parts of the mud runs is just hearing the trucks run through it. High revs, some straight pipes, some open headers. Some guys even burn alcohol fuel, and there's a few diesels. I think the absolute best part of the mud runs is definitely watching the mud slinging, rooster tails flying 60+ feet into the air. That's what I call a good time.

Hill Billy is a funny term considering we live in Kansas.

I know you enjoy the mud. I see your yellow jeep covered in it more than I see it clean. I bet the wife would be pissed if I brought the stocker JK out there.

Do you have an advert or any kind of flyer going? I could hang some of them at the shop for the local people stopping by.
