re-gearing

anybody know of any shops or people in the el dorado-wichita area that do re-gearing? im eventually going to need a re-gear and im just looking for when i change out my rearend one of these days

Don't know of anything in the El D area. Never spent any time there other than driving through it from time to time. I know a couple in wichita...mite be worth the drive..don't know.

Do you know how much they charge? The only problem is my jeep is my only vehicle so it can't be down for long

Depends on the axles. I'm assuming you have the stock D30/D35 in your ZJ?

Yeah d30 and d35 working on making it a d30 and 8.8. I want to gear it to 4.56. I guess ill have to wait till he finds this thread

To give you a rough estimate, $300/axle is average for labor then parts depending on carrier.
