Hey I'm in Wichita this weekend for the big Gun Show at the Coliseum (Mar 06-07). It's the biggest gun show in Kansas. I drove my Ranger as it gets MUCH better mileage than the TJ, but if anyone's interested in meeting at the show, I'm up for it. I'll be wearing a CUBS baseball hat and a blue, long sleeved A&F shirt. And jeans. And black shoes. Lol........

I'd be up for it but I've got my boys for the first time in about 6 months and this weekend is all about them. I was really wanting to get out to the show, but some things take precedence. Looking for anything specific? Have fun.

BTW, I've been meaning to ask...what unit do you belong to? I was deployed with some guys from Ft Riley in Iraq last year (2BCT1AD 1-63CAB, A Co and Scouts for the most part). We were at FOB Mahmudiyah south of Baghdad and I left in April 09.

I can't get too far into it on a public forum, but I'll fill you in when we meet at Tuttle for the Spring run.

A little over a month away. Does anyone have any questions about Tuttle or Randolph?? The more questions you get answered the more likely you are to go. So start asking! I just got back from the BMR so I'm itchin to go!

For all us unbright folk.... the road to trails is the *gasp* road to the trails. You can get to anything you want within 10 minutes.

X is probably where I will camp. There is tons of space and pretty good cover in the trees that will help break the wind. If any one else breaks wind they can stay at Y.

Y has the only showers I know of. I haven't ever camped on that side but all the green sections are open for camping. I can't remember camping fees since the last time I was there was at the Kansas Krawl in 2007.

Z is the local gas station/air pump/grocery store/crapper/ice cream place/hardware store/bait shop/local hang out. It sits right on highway 77 and 1st street. Their ice cream is good.

Directly across the street South of the crapper/ice cream place is a cafe style place to eat. I don't know their hours but the last time I was there they had ok food. I will probably pack enough water/food for the entire weekend.

There is only 1 motel in Randolph. It is called.... hang with me.... oh the suspense.... The Randolph Motel.

119 Front Street
Randolph, KS 66554-9190
(785) 293-5846

If you don't like to sleep with rats then camp. If you don't like to sleep with Distorted... you can hotel it in Manhattan. It is about 30 minutes South of Randolph. Pending our camp fires don't provide decent company and we can find someone(sober) to air us up and drive us there we can hit Aggie Ville and over pay for booze. But I'm positive between Tim, Forrest, and me we can light enough stuff on fire for entertainment purposes!

I am bringing my wife and the dogs. If you have dogs bring them. Mine love to go wheelin and they haven't been since last October. So they are ready to go!

The Randolph motel isn't bad. But it isn't great. And it isn't camping. But it is cheap. Everyone is welcome at my camp site and by the fire for as long as you like.

Forrest had to regear his jeep just to carry the weight of his tent.

There's a group heading out to Tuttle on the 27th and 28th. It's put on by the KC Jeep club. Check their web site for details.

well, its gonna be real iffy if I make it or not, i had training out of town last week, and im going to Seattle for family stuff this weekend. with all the traveling, its left me kinda short on funds. I guess we'll see what payday looks like next week.
So if I make it great, if I dont, we'll do it next time

SWEET! Looks like I found this just in time! I'm new to Jeepin so I was glad to see that they have trails for stock Jeeps as I have a long way to go. This will be perfect for me to get some ideas. I took vacation because the wife has some stuff going on so I'll bring my 2 sons! It's still the 23rd-25th?

I will just find a spot when I get there. Even on big weekends I never have a problem finding a place to camp.

It's looking like I'll be heading out to campsite X (trees are good) on Friday after we get done working. I'll be coming in from Salina and hopefully get in while it's still light to set up camp. What's everyone else planning on doing?

Wouldn't be the first trip I towed someone else home and they drove my junk.

Just be forewarned. Once you drive long arms... you'll buy them.

On another note... how many of you guys run CBs? I run channel 3 on most trips. I'm excited to get this trip under the belt. Then I can start the mods.
