i am new here and i have a question regarding what needs to be done for a project. last year i rolled my 1994 jeep grand cherokee laredo 4.0l . i still have it sitting in my driveway waiting for something tohappend with it. i have a chance to buy a 1989 jeep wrangler with a 4.2l mated to a ba 10/5. the jeep is perfect inside and out and my friend is giving me a great deal on it. he will give it to me for 3000 dollars. new clutch installed the only reason he does not want it is because its a gas hog. i would take it in a heart beat but dont want to pay the gas bill. here are some options.

1.) my motor from the grand has 3000 miles on it and i took it out and rebuilt it myselft and still runs. i could swap the 4.0 into the 4.2l. will the 4.2l bellhousing fit?

2.) do the head swap. and i would like to put my efi on it. what would i have to do to have the efi run?

ive tried searching but the answers ive found does not help and i need some expert advice. sorry if this is really long and confusing. thanks guys

1. Yes, but you certainly do not want that BA 10 behind a 4.0 engine.

2. Move the computer, all the senders on the engine, another gas tank, etc.. Easier to just put the 4.0 in the YJ
