350 V8 swap 95 YJ...

I have done a bit of searching and still haven't found the answer to my question. I am swapping a 350 carb and 700R4 trans into my 4 cyl 5 speed 95 jeep wrangler. Looking to see how to wire the motor up and the best way to get fuel to the motor. Do I use the fuel pump on the motor or the fuel pump in the tank? Thanks!

Use the pump in the tank and a regulator up front to knock the pressure down to 6psi for the carb. You'll need to rewire your ASD relay to get the pump to run though after you ditch the computer.. Wireing is extremely simple as well...I just did my conversion a few months ago.... PM me and we can talk further...

I'd just use the pump on the motor and call it a day.
Switched 12V to the dizzy
12V line from the alt
one wire to the starter

Think you can have it running with about 6 wires total in the eng compartment running a carbed engine.

My 350 had a mechanical fuel pump. I don't like it because it is only working while the engine is running or cranking. I used a Holley regulator and the stock in the tank fuel pump.

And Lancem is right. You only need a couple wires. One for the distributor, one for the electric choke if your using one, one to the alternator, and one to the starter. Sensor wires and gauges are a good idea and highly encouraged. Water temp and oil pressure are the most critical.

well i initially started out using the original wiring harness, but after a few live wires and a few shocks later i tore out the entire harness and i am stuck trying to figure out the ignition wiring and which wire is power and ground to the key.
