Somebody help! I have a right front axle seal leaking, after tearing apart the hub assy., removing the inner/outer axles, and the vacuum shift motor, I popped the seal out (towards the carrier) now I am not sure how to get the new seal installed, is there some sort of trick or special tool needed to drive the seal toward the outer end of the housing? I can fit a hammer in the opening from the vac. motor on the tube itself, was wondering. what the trick is. Any info or suggestions would be great! Thanks Richard (scootertrash19@msn.com)

If you are talking about what i think you are would a pipe that was the right size work to push it down the tube and keep it straight?

Brass pipe, or block of wood, so as to not mar the new seal, or axle tube.

slide hammer or pull the carrier and use a piece of all thread with some washers (thats what i did)
