Default Chasis Swap on a 92 Wrangler Sahara Edition

Hey all - Been away from the forum for a while (I spent a LOT of time on my 85 Yamaha XJ700N so I could enjoy the summer!) - - - but I am now in Fall-mode and want to get started on the above. I have a b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l rolling chassis that I need to take advantage of. My 92 Wrangler has a horrible frame - rot, rust, everything - and I need to swap everything off of the bad frame and onto the nice rolling chassis I have sitting in my garage. So far, I have done the following:
  1. Removed the driver and passenger seat assemblies, the rear seat assembly, the shift-lever boot and the entire carpet
Before I get really into this project, I would love some EXPERIENCED feedback on what order to follow. If you have done a frame swap and have learned the "correct" order in which to do the required steps, I would love to gather some of your knowledge and advice... muy mucho.

Thanks and I'll be sure to keep the forum posted as I go along - I am sure of it!

On my cj5 I took the front clip off, pulled the windshield frame, then the tub, then pulled the drive train.
It'll be the same for the YJ just more parts.

I can't offer any first hand experience for you. Just make sure you label everything and take good notes and pics of where everything came from. Some guys will store bolts and stuff in labeled ziplock bags while disassembling. Good luck, that is a big project.

Default Chasis Swap

There's a full write-up on a frame off restoration of a rusted out Canadian YJ done by theboxman71 on jeepforum.com. I haven't seen any others like it on this site. I hope this helps.
