Default doors wont close complete (hip check needed)

I have half doors with soft top section. It's the bottom
(metal part of the door)that is the problem.
Both the passenger and driver side wont seal unless I really
slam the door or give it a slight hip check. Am I looking for
some sort of adjustment, that probably does not exist?

Thanks
Dave

You can loosen the torx bolts on the hinge side and make minor adjustments for door fit... You can also loosen the nader bolt (what the door latched to) using a Torx wrench for more minor adjustments...

It almost seems like it is the rubber seal. Like it is to fat and I have to compress it. to seal the door shut. Not sure though.

Try loosening up the nader bolt and move it out a tad. I guess too tight is always better than too loose. Doors.... we're talking about doors......

Before you do all what W76's reccommended, try rolling up your back window and see if the door is still hard to close. If it closes easily w/ the window out, then an easier fix might just be leaving the softtop windows slightly unzipped to let the air escape easier.

That's a great idea... never figured that the soft top could be that air restrictive.

also look at the top pieces. they can restrict closure if they are bent too far in at the top. that could be where your too tight.

tell me if you have rod holders near your outside door handle.

and remove your windows for a test. easy enough. i had exact same problem on same setup. after i removed my windows i could close my doors with 1 finger.

Rather than come back two minutes later to apologize for that post, you should've just edited and deleted it.
