| Fairly Dumb Heating Question
I's gladly burn my Chilton's for heat at this point..no info..got to find me a Haynes...
My heater puts out cooler air everyday.
Blower motor is strong. Is this prolly just the heating element buried in the cab?
PS--I thought all heaters took pulled a % of heat off the manifold anyway?
Thanks--Brent

There should be a small radiator inside the cab, burried in the ducts, the fan blows air thru that radiator to generate heat for the cab. If your heater isn't working, but the fan is, then it can be either a plugged heater hose, clogged heater core, or ducting that isn't opening to allow the heat out. First thing I'd check is to make sure there are 2 hoses from the water pump to the firewall. Those are your heater lines. They plug into the heater core. My (in the dark) guess is the PO bypassed those lines.

Also check to see if there is any air in the heater hose and heater core. I had an air bubble bleed it out. Then the air was hot.

I think yall are probably right about a heater core or hose issue, but what temp is your engine running at? Mine has a thermostat issue and as a result, my engine runs really cold and so my heater isn't worth very much.

Check that you have a thermostat.
The PO of my TJ removed it... dunno why.

Strangely after water pump was replaced 7 days ago. After reading this thread I think the mech missed something.
