I've never had an issue with PB blaster hurting the paint.

Slowly push both sides at the same time, it could break your windshield from the twisting of the windshield frame, but don't ask me how I know.....150$ lesson learned. Once I did get the cowl gasket replaced it was even harder to get the rollbar extensions bolted back to the windshield, and now my doors are hard to close. I hope the new gasket softens up or flattens out and fixes the problem.

thanks streetdoc, i thought the same thing, cracking the windshield
had a very small leak inside, thats why the gasket change, should
have used silicone on the outside under lip, and been done with it.
sounds like opening a can of worms, ill take all the time i need!!

on each side of the hinge, and lift windshield off??? then, what

Have you removed the hand screws on the inside above speakers? and did you pb all the way across the windshield?
