Default front axle - dislocated?

hey guys, i havent really ever posted on this site, but i have a question that i was hoping omeone could help me with. A couple weeks ago, the jeep was in an accident where it slid off the road on black ice and hit a tree on the front driver side. A few parts on the front end were bend/broken such as the sway bar links, the tie rod is bent and the drag link is bend as well. Also, the front driver side leaf spring was snapped.

The problem i found is that when I took the front river sided tire off, i noticd that the axle on that side is actually pushed backwards, causing the entire axle to actually be slanted. This is a problem, because now the axle won't line up with where it should on the new leaf spring. (where that little round nub fits into the groove) It is about 2-3 inches back. How do I correct this? I inspected the front driveshat and it's not bend or broken or anything. Also, the passenger side is still in the correct place

ck your axle u bolts on the side that didnt break the bolts might be twisted a bit and holding the axle crooked. cut the u bolts out and center axle and replace ubolts with new ones

There's a pin in the center of the leaf pack. More like the end of the bolt holding the pack together. Sounds like that must have sheared off as well if the perch plate and axle were pushed. Might look at the shock alignment once the axle is back in place to make sure things didn't get twisted at the top mount.

Almost like a good excuse for the time to do a lift kit and get all new bolts, springs, and shocks......

Hey... Well i took your advice and went with a 4" suspension lift from rough country (seemed like the best bang for the buck). I used a come-along to pull the axle forward and it worked perfectly. Now i have the same problemin the back (its too far forward) but im guessing that when i install the track bar bracket and drop the transfer case, it will fall into place. Thanks alot for the advice tho!
