Welcome, I don't think there is a kit for this. Its been discussed here before, you might try a search for it.

The square head lights in a YJ are a limited addition as they only made them for 6 or so years. Why would you want to change the main thing that distinguishes a YJ from all other Wranglers?
Personally I only spend money on mods that will help me on the trail and the shape of the headlights I doubt has much to do with that.
It is your rig so do what you want. This is just my input

You have a vintage jeep, why desecrate it, with round eyes?

Have someone hypnotize you and tell you they are round. It's cheap, it's easy and it makes as much sense as actually spending money on changing them.

i think he's trying to "un-desecrate" it seeing as Jeep desecrated it in the first place by putting rectangle lights
and just to add, these are vintage jeeps...notice the headlights

I look for square headlamp YJs. I think they have a touch of class. Round reminds me of the camo gov't version.... I left the military a long time ago with no thoughts of going back. My 3 cents and I'm stick'n to it !

They have medication available to help with the dillusional thinking.
Be proud of your "squareness".

It's hip to be square. I like my square lights. You don't see very many of ours on the road any more.

yes they do... now go to your doctor to get a prescription for some
Largemarge: if you really want round headlights, you should just do the cj fender/hood and grill swap.
another option is to weld shut the rectangle light holes then cut out a circle for the round lights, but in my opinion it makes it look really "odd"... I also think that some company sells replacement yj grills with the round light cutouts already...I just forgot where I saw it.

Having owned both YJ and TJ now. I definitely think that the TJ is a better vehicle (as it should, being the newer incarnation of the wrangler after a 1 year hiatus in '96) but I love a good clean YJ, I think that they are, arguably, the best looking Jeep to date. The dash was very utilitarian, the windshield was still easily collapsible unlike the TJ's that require you remove wiper arms, or JK's (I don't think) even comes down. The YJ was the only real deviation from the 'set in stone' Jeep styling.
Ironic as it is, I remember wishing my YJ had round light when all my friends got TJs, now I just think it made it cooler.
And as far a desecration is concerned, I don't think there's a member on here that wouldn't love to drop a 383 under his hood, or get a free ford 9" (or for the big gunners) a GM 14 bolt. Let's face it, we live for desecration and Jeep knows it, that's why we love them for giving us square lights. Keep 'em square and with the money you save buy a sticker that makes fun of TJ's. I'm sure we'll make fun of that too though.
P.s. welcome to the forum. Please accept this invitation to wave at any and all wranglers.
