Unhappy Help! My YJ won't start

Hey. I've got a 93 YJ, 4L 6cyl 5sp. I bought it about 2 months ago knowing it was in a front end collision a few years before. My dumbass now ex-boyfriend thought it was in perfect running condition, not even noticing that the motor mounts had been moved- its sitting on a 4cyl frame.
So here's the problem- I had a friend replace the clutch disc, pressure plate, slave and master, and resurface the flywheel. It ran perfectly for about 3 days before not starting again. it will start with no problem- not even chugging or seeming to have to work for it- about 60% of the time. The rest of the time it either has a real hard time starting or just doesnt. When it won't start it doesn't even try to turn over, one or two of the cluster lights comes on for a second and it makes a clicking noise. the second time I try nothing happens. This seems to mainly happen when its wet outside. I have able to start it a few hours later every time but right now. After two tries at starting the battery died and I can't get it to jump start.
Any help or thoughts on the situation would be great!
Thanks, Kim

Sounds like a very dead battery now. Try that first. From what you say I'd bet it's the battery.

X2 on the battery but I'd also check the cables and ground first.

hate to be repetitive, but check battery connections as well as connections at the starter

Had the same problem with my 95. After running all electrical twice, and killing a battery, discovered it was the computer.
