| Interior lights?
I have a 94 2.5L 5 speed. Neither of the courtesy lights work, despite the bulbs being good, and I also have the sound bar from a 95 with the light in it, that also has a good bulb, and is hooked up, but doesn't work. Anyone know just which fuse it is to check, or have any other ideas?

Have you checked to see if wires are hooked up to the door switches or making good contact?

under the hood in the pwr dist box, in front of the battery, both fuses 8 and 12 are in the interior lighting system.

To be entirely honest, not really. I got lazy with this one, and decided to just ask first so I don't waste time. Thanks to you both though- I'll go check both now.

Well, both fuses check out, so I'll assume it's the door button. However, the buzzer DOES sound, and that's the same hook up, right? (Well, it sounds for the drivers-could the passengers being bad eliminate both? and what about the overhead light on the sound bar?)

yeah same hook up. make sure you have 2 wires going to the door jamb switch one is for the key in ignition and the other is for interior lights. also see if they work with the dimmer switch.

Both wires are there, and the dimmer switch doesn't make them come on in any way.

The switch might be your culprit. Lots of corrossion builds up on the contacts from all the moisture. Try removing it and cleaning it up.

My dome lights (in a TJ) don't light up from the headlight/multifunction switch, but do when I open the door or turn off the key.
I traced it to a broken wire in the headlight switch, that is nearly impossible to get to to fix and I'll be damned if I'm paying $90+ to get it to work by getting a new one.
