Windshield Gasket, Reusable?

So my buddy got a new windshield for his Jeep after a rock flew off a gravel truck. The windshield just arrived and it does not have the rubber gasket that surrounds the windshield.

Was this piece sealed at factory or is it similar to a reveal moulding where it can be reused?

Yes it's reusable as long as you don't damage it when removing it.
Here's a description of how we did it when we replaced mine.

Wrangler Windshield Replacement

I'm replacing my windshield because the frame rusted real bad. I ordered the weatherstripping thru JC Whitney and they only sent one solid piece of rubber stripping...it's just labeled "seal Jeep Wrangler 87-95" I'm not sure if this is an inner, outer, or both seal...and, doesn't sound like it has a big purpose except for looks, if the windshield is held in with rubber caulk???? Along with the windshield frame rust came a rusted dash...the metal plate that sits behind all the plastic and gauges and mounts to the hood cowl rusted...I found out that Chrysler no longer carries this part. Does anyone know a good source where I could get this either new or used?

Thanks!
