Where is this? I'm up in SE MN and can't find anywhere very close to go wheeling! This looks like NE Iowa to me. Looks like a pretty fun time.

Headlights are more looks then performance i've found, they do their job but are not exceptionally bright by any means. Light bar here I come!

I lived in Moline, IL from when I was born til i moved to Alaska 2.5 years ago. I remember there was a fun spot between the railroad tracks and the mississippi on the west side of Davenport. Lots of mud and trails made by big ol lifted trucks. My buddies and I took a 90 yj with a 2 inch lift back there and ended up burying the jeep to the frame lol. Not sure if it's still there but I remember that being a blast.

Im trying to remember the couple places we used to go and bomb around with that old thing. Besides knowing people who own farms with trails in their woods I cant think of much atm.

Check out QCJEEPERS 4X4 CLUB if you havent yet, it's the local jeep group i'm sure some of those folks know where to go lol.

Yea I know what your talking about, down by the I 280 bridge! its fun but patrolled by cops because of kids throwing keggers. Its fun for 20 min or so then ya gotta get outta there, I ve been wanting to go talk to a few home owners and see if they would let me drive behind their house and look around. I can see it would be fun back there its all river over flow and swamp area and right now the rivers low

Yeah that was an issue back in the day too lol. There used to be a spot by green valley sports complex in east moline too that was great. I remember test driving a lifted pickup truck when I was 19 and driving this super pot holes dirt/mud pit road that went a ways back from the end of the farthest back parking lot. Probably only a couple mile long road but i coated that thing, had to pay for a $10 car wash before taking it back to the dealership lol.

I'd check around with some of the out-lying towns for some good class B roads. Maybe even with the Boy Scout camp out past Andalusia to see if they might let you drive some of their dirt roads though the camp grounds. Lots of two track stuff around there. I'd still get with some of the QC Jeepers about other places. There was a smallish off road area down from Garfield School in Moline too but i'm pretty sure by now they build houses on that land.

I remember hearing about an "official" offroad area an hour or so from the Quad cities back when i was in high school, just cant remember what it was called. I was driving an import at that time so i didnt get the chance to ride around on many off road excursions besides lots of fast gravel driving. Making me want to get back down there and bomb through some farm fields lol. Lots of trees and water here and no real off roading on this island. Gotta take a ferry to another island to get some good stuff lol.

I think there is still a 4wd club in the q.c. area. If not its time we get something started.

I don't recall exactly but it's around the Maquoketa Caves area.

Last time we were exploring the area and came across a nearly submerged full size pickup truck on one of those B roads! It had to have been a couple years ago.

Beyond that, I have no idea where else to go in the area.

I'll be heading down to Iowa (Dubuque area) this weekend to ride with the Tri State Stump Jumpers. A lot of fun with them. Went last year and rode with my brother in his TJ, this year bringing my own.

This is true. It used to be called "600 acres". It's been called Lakeview OHV Park since probably 2002 or 2003. That's when they closed it to fullsize vehicles. It's only ATV's and dirtbikes now. I was in a local Jeep club called the Trailhogs during the time, us and several other fullsize offroad clubs fought hard to keep it open, but the ATV organizations must have fought harder.
