Hood hold downs

How do you get the plastic pins out without breaking them ?

If theyre like the tj's which im pretty sure they are.
The pin has a cap, stick a flathead between the cap of the pin and itll pop off then you can slide the pin right out.
Not sure which side the cap is on though.
