Light off roading near Belton Missouri

I am new jeep owner and would like to know if there is someplace not too far away to do some light off roading. My jeep has what I believe is a 2 or 2 1/2 inch lift and 35 inch tires.

There are a couple of choices Tuttle Lake, Kansas Rocks, and Smorr. I cannot comment on the first two but your rig will do well at smorr. You might check on facebook there is a Kansas City southland and northland groups.

Kansas Rocks will be the closest to you. It is near Fort Scott, Ks., run by one of the Kansas Jeep clubs, open on the weekends, and they chsrge a fee. Tuttle Creek is up near Manhatten, Ks., and it is usually open every day, and it is free. There is also a place sown near Disney, Ok., that is free. You can also check out kcjeepclub.org. Sometimes they have trail rides on private property where they allow non-members to participate.
