I hope some more of the current locals chime in for you, but I'll say that I grew up in KC (Olathe) and lived there til I was 24 and there wasn't SHIT for wheelin. Makes me love AZ more.

We go to SMORR to go wheelin whenever we can afford the drive, Those of you in the state should DEFINITELY make a trip there, its fabulous! Great place to wheel at all levels and first class accomidations, The folks there are just as nice as you could ever meet.
If you choose to camp they have squeeky clean bathrooms with tons of hot water and even have a place where they cook meals and sell them for a very low price.

Yea, if I could move to be near a park, it would be SMORR.
Here are some links to some of my pics from up there:

I'll tell you a good place to start.

SMORR, Southern Missouri Off Road Ranch

Hands down, it's the best doggone place to go wheelin in the mid-south!! There will be folks on there that can help you find other organizations.

Happy trails

K.

I'd be very interested to find something fairly close to Columbia too. My Father lives there, so I'm up that way a few times a year, more if I had an offroad trail to go to.

SMORR does look like a great place, but I would still like to find something closer to Columbia.

Thanks for the info Kate! Seymour is not to far from where my family lives so I may need to check it out the next time I go to Branson to see them.

I'm in Cape Girardeau, MO but I'm originally from Birch Tree, MO. Nice to see some people on here from both areas that I live.
