Ya it is. We need to find some mud holes and some trails to play on around here. I know of one little place I can play when it rains (like I did today) but other than that I don't know where to go. Do you have any ideas?

I googled it and it looks like it could be a whole lot of fun. I just wish there was some government hunting land or something with some backwoods hunting roads to drive down. I enjoy those and the mud. Haven't tried to rock crawl any.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I'll have to try it one of these days. Probably next summer though. When it snows the world will be my playground.

I'm gonna do some off-roading here in a bit. probably the weekend of the 15th of Oct if you're interested. I think i might just head over to SMORR in seymour, mo. It's only about 45 min east of springfield if you've never been.

Military jeepers? I'm a bit curious about this.

Regardless I won't be able to attend, mainly for a couple of reasons. I'm currently in Afghanistan, waiting to go no leave later in November, and also I am in the process of finding 'my' Jeep.

I'm new to the forum, but lived in Springfield for 25 years. Wanted to ask about SMORR. I usually go to Gladetop Trail near Bradleyville. The problem there is private land popping up & unmarked trails. It's legal to take tagged vehicles down marked trails but most of the markers are long gone. The last thing any of us want is bad publicity & land use yanked. More & more trails are also ending at private land. Choices are getting fewer near SW MO.

Welcome to the forum Jeepspur

SMORR is a great place to go! I have been there a few times this summer and had a blast. I drive a stock 2001 Sahara and have a great time on the easy trails (1 &2).

The local Jeep club (Ozarks JeepThing) is having a club run to SMORR on the 20th of this month; you’re always welcome to join us.

Sat NOV 20th Club Run to SMORR

If you haven’t been to SMORRs website take a look at the map, it’s an older map and they have more trails now. Here is the link SMORR Trail Map

My Jeep is also my DD so I always take it easy out there and still have a great time!

yeah, SMORR is a great place to go. We lucked out that this one is so close to Springfield. I have probably been about 4 times and at least once was with a completely stock wrangler. So, don't worry about the difficulty. There are plenty of trails for all jeep types. I may head out this weekend or do next weekend with those guys.

Yeah, ive seen this club before. Exactly what it sounds like. A jeep club for military personnel. I believe you even have to include your unit information when registering, so that keeps out everyone else.

Im located in Kirkwood, MO. I'm fairly new to the forum and wanted to check in, see who else roams in Missouri.
I usually head to Park Hills on the weekend because that is where my parents live, along with all the other guys I run with who have Jeeps. There are about 7-10 of us who get together.
