Stalling Issues

OK, bought this 91 Jeep Wrangler Series "S" and within 1 week had to replace a bad motor. That's not the issue I am asking help about. While driving down the road, it just Quits running. Restart in about 30 seconds and runs great. Shortest distance before dying was about 500 yards, longest distance about 150 miles. Replaced motor and still having same issues, it is a 95 2.5L motor. Anyone have similar issue? Any help would be appreciated, as I am at my wits end trying to figure this problem out. Only thing I replaced from the old motor was the Distributor, as it was a new distributor. Have replaced inline filter, elec fuel pump with no positive results!!! HELP!!!!!!!

Hello Jerry,
Did you get your problem fixed? I had a similar problem but this was on a 1980 Bronco. My problem went on for about month, about the third time in the shop the mechanic had an aha moment. He walked over to wiring harness that connected to the computer module and pushed the connector all the way in, you might want start checking your electrical connections.

This solved the problem for me, hope this helps and good luck to you. Let us know what you find.

Stalling Problems

Hoorah:
Have not tried that yet. Looked at the connection but did not get physical with it. Will certainly try that in hopes it will solve the problem. Extremely frustrating when I am just driving along and all of a sudden it just QUITS! About 20 seconds later, start it and away I go until the next time. Really enjoying driving my Jeep but stalling issues drives me nuts!!! Thank You for the tip and I will let you know if that solves the problem.

Checked the connection, not loose. Found the problem though. The Chilton Jeep Wrangler book I bought when I bought the Jeep fails to mention that the 2.5L has a Crankcase Sensor. Lists the 2.4 and 6cyl as having the crankcase sensor but not the 2.5!!! Had shop put it on diagnostic machine and the CCS come up as being bad. Never had a check engine light come on when I had the problem & according to mechanic that was because it was sporadic and not completely fried. New CCS and I am on the road again without constantly looking for a place to turn into when it died.
