I had such a great time today at Red Bird ORP with 3 of my sons and a bunch of great Jeepers from all over here in the Midwest. A huge thank you to all of you who came out and rocked some of Indiana's best trails!!!
I figure we need a place to post some off our pics, so let's see them!!!
Here are a few of us Hoosiers at the parking area.
Here we are at the gate. State owned and only $10.00 a Jeep.
Our friendly DNR!!!
Getting ready for the trails!!!
A pretty meadow on the main trail.
There he is, The Man in Black!!! Look hard, he is almost at the top!!!
A bunch of great folks from Indiana and Illinois.
The Man in Black, in action again!!!
There is my little blue TJ in the back ground.
Down in the woods.
A Jeeper winching out a stranger driving a full size truck that was stuck in the mud!!!
Well, I will have more to come, now show me yours!!!
Nice! Now I really wish we had found you. We stuck around till about 3 and it seemed like we were the only people there. Only saw a couple of those little "gator" type things going up the big hills.
Here are a few of mine and I should have a small video to post later tonight if it ever loads to Youtube.
It was a great day and there will be more. I know a few guys want to make a run up to Badlands too. I know I would like to go there again, but I really liked Redbird. I want to go see if I can go a little deeper. There is a video on youtube I am going to link here in a bit.
That little meadow was a f**king bog! Got stuck in there like none other haha, we did say we had to use that tow strap at least once!
Let me know when that link is up for the video Conman! I'm assuming this is the gopro one?
Khatton do you live up by Zionsville? Im working on a house in Austin Oaks and have see you with your IA State logo a few times over last couple weeks?
No, I didn't disconnect, and going up the hill of rocks was great, but I can't wait to get some gears, lift, tires and protection under that little TJ.
Here is a video of going up that hill of rocks....
Nothing too exciting, but shows one of the easier trails and ends with me getting stuck. Wish I had it on for the longer trail.
Also, apologize in advance for the music. Couldn't find anything good on YT and just got tired of looking. Didn't seem right without some noise. It does look good in HD if you're able to run it in 1080p.

I see you need to have a "wench" with you on the more difficult sections, is that so she can get you a beer when you get stuck. LOL. got to love spelling mistakes.
Yeah we all got a little kick out of that haha. A maiden to bring drinks when we get stuck in the mud though doesn't sound like a bad idea.... Gna ask my girl to ride along next time.
Pressure washed mine today too! Swear I must have taken off like 100 pounds of mud today. Took me from 11-6pm. Did an entire detail and everything inside, got really meticulous on the outside, found a couple scratches (sweet), then when I was all finished and decided to take her on a drive..... Rain started pouring, yay Indiana.
The Meguiars leather cleaner and conditioner did wonders to my seats, they were so dry and dirty since I never conditioned them when I purchased it and new seats always come in thirsty AF. On a side note, I kinda like the look of it better when it's muddy....
Your right!!! Redbird is AWESOME, and having it not all filled up with too many people, you really get to take the time on the trails. Of course the Brickyard was on and well, you know.
That rock garden hill was great. You would have loved it for sure Conman and if you should have seen Guccibomb420 hit it with his rig.
As far as washing, I washed mine Sunday night. Of course with carpet out and then out with the JK drain plugs I installed, it wasn't bad. Looked late last night and I missed some on the inside of my lower control arm bracket and other places and only have a very little bit of sand still on the inside. Next wash Saturday and try to get the rest of it.
Oh, and Khatton, Jeeps always look better dirty!!!
Chiming in a little late here....but we had a great time as well in our Anvil JKS. Nothing like breakin' it in with a few thousand miles on it. We took very few pics but thoroughly enjoyed the company and trails. Thanks go out to the IL gang with AWESOME rigs and running bird dog and tail man. That insurance was much appreciated and I hope we did not slow you down. A little more rain and I think I might have had trouble with stock street tires. LOL! We look forward to our next trip to Redbird SRA. Sad we missed the others from INDY but it was nice to have the park almost to ourselves.
Hey there 2jkz!!! About time we hear from you. This Hoosier sure had a great time too and it was great to meet you and the family. Hope to meet up with you all again soon and see if we can get that JK a little dirtier!!!
Oh... and post what pics you do have. I would love to see them!!!!
Hahahahahaha!!!! Not against my will, but the boss man. I can not tell you how much I do not like working Saturdays, but it is what it is. I sure wish I could go with you all.
