97wrangler, let me know also about the guy on 40's! That's be a fun addition and like you said I don't think we are going to have to worry about people stealing from us, but most likely I will have an extra vehicle and some others may as well to lock things in. Theres going to be so many of us that I'm sure someone will be in and out of the campsite often since its just outside the park.
I'll get with him here soon about this weekend and the 11/12 next month. He said he might put his 37s back on for the plainfield trip. He's from up north. Who all is going to logans Saturday? I'm deffinately n. May have my gf with me

Well for smaller items they can be locked in my tow rig - it's a quad cab so got some room. I've left stuff unattended at the campgrounds before with no problems, but yeah it only takes that one time to get something stolen.

Speaking of pictures, I can't wait to take a big picture of all the rigs on Saturday and Sunday! And everyone at camp. It's going to be an awesome time!

Looks like 7 of us so far!

I just got a message from another group that is going the same day and they are wanting to join in the wheeling! They are staying at summers but are leaving saturday for the badlands, so they have about 10-11 going, so add that to our numbers for actual people wheeling with us. 50!

I think they will convoy out with us, so we may be looking at a convoy of about 15-20 people from Indy headed to the badlands can we say... AWESOME!

I'm excited about the pictures of us all in a line and stuff, idk why but I think it would be one of the largest lines I've seen!

I know I'm in and so is my nephew as a ride along. A couple of guys from work are interested and say yes but I'll believe it when I see it.

I really have to stop following this thread. That convoy to & around the Badlands is going to be friggin' awesome! I still haven't ruled out joining in the wheeling for one of the days. Need to talk to the wife & see what her relay for life schedule is. I think it's 4pm Saturday & 3am Sunday. So it might just be me & the kids on Sunday so she can sleep.

50 people, but do we have an actual Jeep count?

Jeep Jamboree is like the week before at the Badlands. Why pay $500 when you could just join this group?!

Ok! Looks like we are in for Sunday's festivities.

Badlands open about 9am, so we will probably just meet you all there.

fyi - they do have concession stand at the park up in the upper lot (use to be in lower lot). Though don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind driving into town either - always get a few heads turning when rolling around in the YJ. Course here where I live, they just stare and think "hillbilly" - lol, when I drive around.

BIG update..

Just got off the phone with the campground, all is fine and there are plenty of spaces for everyone! I for now reserved two electric camping spots with water, and the rest are primitive. So if you want to have a electric site with water you can get one as well. Just let me know, and the primitive area is just an open area so you can pick your poison

When you arrive, either Friday, Saturday or Sunday and you will need to approach the main office, tell them you are there for the HOOSIER OFFROAD event, under Weston Gist. They will show you where we are (I'm sure you will see the mass of tents and or Jeeps) and just pay and you can get all set-up. Rate is still $7 a person for primitive.

I will be bringing extension cords, extra outlets for accessory plug ins and also a big cold water pressure washer to clean off all our rigs at the end of the day! I can't wait for this event.

Might as well sign me up for an electric spot, I can share it with someone if they want. All I have is a 10x8 tent and my wife, daughter will be with me. So for 4 extra dollars I might as well get the electricity

Roger! I don't think the electric sites go by per person like the primitive does but I will let you know for sure.

I complained to the wife long enough about not being able to be in the convoy going up on Saturday morning that she changed her time & we'll be there all day saturday. Meeting up with all of you saturday morning to convoy up.

We'll probably be leaving around 7 or 8 pm Saturday night to head back.

Nice! Lol. Well we will see you then! We need to plan a place to all meet up before we hit I-74. Maybe a place around the exit for I-74? We are going to phone in mhaines and let him know when we are approaching so he can slide in!
