Had a great time meeting everyone and wheeling with you guys. I have a few pics and some vids. I can't believe someone took a pic of me "stuck" coming "down" a hill Oh well I guess that will be a tough one to beat.

sand + stupidity on my behalf = tweaked driveshaft. Tried messing around in 2by, dug in and switched to 4hi and no go. Reversed and hit it in 4lo to a pop. Then rolled down the hill, hearing thunk, thunk, thunk. Hoping just a u-joint but somehow pulled the shaft apart and busted off most of the splines on the end of the front shaft. Hammered it back to together, and somehow is survived another day and a half of wheeling.

wow - I feel like a wuse now seeing that pic. Felt like it was much worse then that - lol. Course I guess the pic doesn't show that this is at a top of a hill going down. And dang, I thought it would flex better then that - lol, guess I'll have to do that 4link sooner now.

You like the tires then? There on my list of tires I'm considering. How's the road noise?

^ I don't run more than 50-55mph but they are pretty quiet. I figured they's be worse.

Honestly I got a screaming deal on them so it was a no brainer for me but so far I would buy another set.

They all look good! I've been busy cleaning and pulling the front DS out so I can overhaul it.

It was well worth it! I had a blast!

as everyone else has said, the wife and I had a great time and it was awesome to meet/wheel with ya'll. as I type, the wife is home uploading pics to my desktop which I will post later tonite and into the week.

I haven't even cleaned my rig yet but already the damage is evident: bad front U joint, new leak in transmission, possibly a wheel bearing went bad, and a new leak in my transmission- not to mention the body damage from blasting out of that tube.

it was worth every one of those, and more.

I'ld assume most of ya are on facebook - if anyone wants to add me feel free:

Ed Warren - just look me up, and I'll add ya.

Hopefully working on the rest of my pics tonight. Started tearing apart the front axle tonight, and still need to work on the rear too (thinking the rear injested some agua as well).

hah, just read my own post. I can tell I was in a hurry. Spent over 10 bucks in quarters to hose her down at the carwash, got most of the grime off. was able to inspect the body damage and looks like no shearing, just crushed a bit. oughta be able to pull it out and re-raptor the area.

on another note, that stupid pseudo-snorkel thing came off. Whatever epoxy the PO used got hot and pliable, I just worked it back and forth a couple of times and it popped out. now do I weld over it and then paint or raptor it, get a new hood, or something else???
