I have been slacking hard, lol. If it's not pouring rain outside I will get some tomorrow. Every time I go outside I seem to forget to take pics.

Hey what's up guys. What you guys are planning sounds like a great time and I would love to join. I'm new to this forum and the jeep world. I've never been wheeling and was wondering if I tagged along if I could be shown the ropes. ( and hopefully not be to big a pain in the ass). I gott first jeep when I was 15. Which was 3 yrs ago. It was a stock YJ. Dropped about every measly part time paycheck into it and think it's not to bad still got a list of things I wanna do to it but I've got time. So the point of this long drawn question was do you care if I tag along. Inexperienced with offroading and trail riding but would still love to be shown how it's done. And any advice. Let me know what you think.

Millfire517; looks great!!!

I think we all need pontoons attached with all this rain!

Steelpony, being a kinda newbie myself (only had the jeep out a few trips), I would think you would be welcome as well. We all had/have to start somewhere. It's all about getting out and enjoying our hobby with people who also enjoy the same hobby

Millfire that lift looks sick!! I wish I could help, could of got build pics

And Steelpony, I'd love to see you out with us on the trip. Whether it'll be both days or one you can have alot of fun and we will all be having a great time! All of us so far are driving DD's (daily drivers) so we aren't going to be flopping our rigs and laughing

You will learn alot and will be a great addition to our list of attendees I'd love to meet a fellow Jeeper. You'll love the amount of things your Jeep can do, and we can help you with any potential questions! We can start small and get to where you are comfortable

Oh and BTW, I just got my rebuilt tranny done today she drives like a dream. Just in time for HORD

Everyone, I am going to be calling the badlands, and the campground that we will be staying at tomorrow to see when we need to call ahead and set our campground rentals up. I will also get some info on the camping situation. Maybe we can get a group rate if we have enough people

I'll keep everyone tuned!

Steelpony I will add you to the list! We will be coming in a convoy up 74, so we can stop in at crawfordsville sat. morning and pick you up.

Everyone, I just got off the phone with the badlands, and there are no events planned so it should be nice and open wheelin'. I also talked to the campgrounds their staff is very helpful and nice. He said that there is no more just electric sites but we can get multiple water/electric hookups for $25 and 4 people (Jeeps/ Tents) at each site so $7 bucks a person for camping sat. night. Or if you want you can just pay $7 per person for primitive. He said he can get us all together and that we will need to reserve the sites about a month before!

Thanks everyone for staying up on this. It'll be a great time!

Not sure I know BigEZ from Chicago is going with a potential few others, but I know that there will be plenty of room on the trail and campground for more folks bring as many as you'd like! Just make sure to post up information.

And 05, is state road 39 off of 74? We can make stops to hook up with people. Its not a problem. And to anyone else that may be coming later then the rest of us, that is totally fine. As the time nears I will send out a PM of my # so anyone can get a hold of me.

Once again, if you don't plan on going but then you can at last moment thats fine just show up hell I wont mind! But for the sake of camping I wanna make sure everyone has a place to camp so if you show up late or don't rsvp when needed you'll have to get your own. But there should be PLENTY extra if thats the case

yeah, if there's some "Region Rats" (if you are one, you know what I mean) coming down then I'll be glad to meet up somewhere off of I-65 - maybe @ US 30 in Merrillville or @ the truck stop at SR 2 by the Lowell State Police post.

Nice And that'll work perfectly. I'll be making the most stops but I think there are a few that are around brownsburg so we can all meet there then start heading up. I'll start getting some times up!

Just like 05 has mentioned you're more then welcome to come! We wont be collectively doing hard trails, but the more easy and moderate trails. If you wanna get squirrly everyone can venture off. You will have a blast in your stock Jeep no need to rush for a lift unless you can get it in time which would be cool too! Don't worry if you feel uneasy about a trail we can go back this is fun for everyone. I believe everyone's Jeep that is going is their DD. I'll be the only one taking mine on a trailer so far and that's because I wanna do somethings I've never done before and if I break anything I wanna be able to get home scotch free.

But don't let the word break get to you. I can almost guarantee everyone will walk away unscathed, except some scratches It'll be a blast!!!

The more I see people posting up their pictures of badlands the more I want to go now. Lol. Who knows I might venture over there before June just to scout it out a bit.
