Small group run offered the other way....Decatur IN has a car show next Fri evening the 21st and we plan to fill the street with Jeeps.... and than Sat the 22nd (the next morning) we are headed to Bundy Hill in MI for a day of wheeling.

I realize that is a hike for you but stay in a motel Fri night and break up the trip...assuming weather is good.....I think it is about 4hours from Bundy hill to fishers though.

Mike
Bundy Hill is just about 90 minutes NE from Fort Wayne....the suggestion for FRI/ SAT was to not make it a 4 hour drive each way to go wheeling.....I understand that....kinda why I haven't been to Badlands yet......not possible at this time, for me to go on a wheeling trip over night.

From Albany it looks like an hour to Decatur and it is right at 2-2.5 hours to Bundy from Decatur......IDK if you would want to but I would guess leaving Albany about 630 next Sat would have you meet up right time in Decatur.....and would assume if you stayed till they closed 10pm-11pm till you got home......I personally will probably leave about 3-4pm....I like to clean my Jeep while it is still daylight and know everything is "okay" after wheeling.....but I am a little anal like that.

If you or anyone has any questions feel free to post up or PM me....I will be meeting up with the club in Auburn IN. Doesn't make sense for me to go South to head North. I can give details and times for where people are meeting up.

OK...Who is ready for some wheelin at Redbird SRA ? John and I will be headed down fri and heading back sometime Sunday. There will be day and night wheelin with plenty of easy, moderate and challenging well marked trails. There is camping at Green Sullivan Park and a motel in Linton wich we are planning on staying at.It would be great if we could get some of our Badlands group with some southies that cant make our Badland trips. If interested or any questions holler at me Redbird SRA Laborday weekend day and night wheelin!

Night rides have been cancelled for the remainder of the year. (At least their FB page says so)

May want to call them..

If I can get it off work, I'd probably go.

We need a central indy club or something.....I am all in for all that has been suggested. Have been on a few threads where peeps are posting with interest in getting something started but no actions have been taken yet. It would be nice to at least start out with a meet and greet or something like that.

After my jeep purchase I was in hopes of joining a club or something to meet some fellow jeepers, do some camping or trail trips, and even learn some stuff from the hard core jeepers. I would be more than willing to do the leg work and at least get a contact list of folks that would like to get something going, like a meet an greet. My email is wizore@yahoo.com just send me your contact info and ill get the list together then send out a blast to everyone in order to try and organize.

For all who may be interested look up my post on Local Indianapolis Clubs.....we have the start of a club for Indianapolis and near by areas in the works. Would love to have as many Jeepers as we can get involved. If interested and live in the central Indianapolis or near by area we are asking that you send me your contact info by the end of next week (7-12-13) so an email blast can be sent out to the group in order to organize a meet and greet for starters!

Nothing to fancy just a basic club idea with other jeepers who want to get out and have fun with their toys, meet new folks, share ideas and stories. The idea will be to organize monthly or bi-monthly or quarterly (whatever the group votes on) get togethers, trail runs, BBQ's, camping trips or something of that nature to get folks out with their jeeps on some sort of repetitive basis with friendly faces versus just strangers.

Lots of central IN jeepers have been talking club or something of that nature and I finally am just trying to take some action in getting that suggestion to come to life. Tired of just wishing or waiting for someone else to start something up!

Hope to hear from you folks that live in the Indianapolis or near by locations!

Well I have gotten roughly 12 emails from peeps so far with an "active" interest in moving forward with a club! As stated before, come Friday I will create a list of the indiviudals who have reached out to me and send a group blast email with a couple suggestions to schedule our first meet and greet.

Once I have a reply from the group, on that blast, I will again send another blast that will clearly define what the group majority selected as our location and potential date/time for the meet and greet. The meet and greet will be an opportunity for all the memebers to put a face with a name and show off their jeeps.

During this time we can chat about how we want to move forward as a club, reviewing such topics as a club name, activity schedule and so on.....remember the idea here is to get peeps out and about with their jeeps. This means off-road, on-road and so on. Club activities will range from simple cruises, camping trips, and different levels off trail runs to local off road parks and so on. So long as we keep the club members involved and not create activities that single owners out.

I hope to get a good mix of jeepers in the club so that we have a select number of folks that can be a good source of help for those who are still learning and or have not yet had the opportunity to enjoy their jeep off road on easy and mild trail runs.

I want to quickly address a few questions I have gotten from folks as the word of the club kick off spreads.

No- this will not be a fee based club. The concept, hands down, is to get peeps out with their jeeps! If for whatever reason the group wants to entertain some type of small annual fee for a specific and meaningful reason then obviously that will be considered and would have to be voted on and passed by the group. But I cant express enough that my goal here is to create a club that is made up of jeep enthusiast who enjoy getting together on some sort of repetitive basis through the year to get out and enjoy being a jeep owner in various forms........period!

No - a club name has not been selected yet.

These and other related topics will be covered during the first meet and greet. As stated before this is the time when members will get to meet one another and we will review and agree on these type of topics as a group

No - This is not just for hardcore jeepers. This club is for everyone (all levels of drivers and jeep types). The average member will more than likely have a jeep as their DD and activities will be planed with the consideration that not every jeeper wants to hit the trails or challenge the limits of their jeep. With this in mind I envision majority of the clubs planned activities being family driven and with the end goal of having fun with our jeeps and not just parked in a parking lot trading jeep stories. So this will range from fun trail runs, BBQ's, camping trips, cruises, meets at parks, car shows, and the list goes on and on and on.

No - Members wouldn't be required to wear a specific club t-shirt and or have a specific club sticker on their jeep or anything of this sort. Keep in mind the idea of a club isn't just to say your in a club but the opportunity to have a group of friends who share your love for jeeping and want to activity get out on a monthly or bi-monthly basis and enjoy owning a jeep!

However, I would hope to gain members who are motivated about being in an active club and not just meeting up once a year....that defeats the purpose! Look at it like a bowling league or something...lol

Hope this helps!

Additional note, if the group wants some sort of club sticker and or t-shirt for planned rides and activities then I will take care of those expenses and the associated legwork!

Ok folks we have one day left before we create or potential member list as a result from all the peeps who have e-mailed me their contact information during this week, as requested. From this member list an e-mail blast will be sent in effort to swiftly organize our first meet and greet!

For those of you who have already sent me your contact information don't forget to tell a fellow jeep owner! Of course if we have folks that miss our deadline, of this Friday, doesn't mean they will not be able to take part in this club.

The deadline has been set in place so that we can at least start the process of moving forward in effort to get this off the ground and take advantage of the summer months!

If anyone has questions they would like addressed before sending me their contact info for potential membership feel free to contact me at wizore@yahoo.com

I am in for this trip! Gonna do some camping with the family and get some wheelin in too! I've got friends that want to bring their quads as well. They have an RV with rear storage for the quads. Does anyone know of access from the campground to the park via quad. They would rather not break camp to transport the quads.

Ok folks, todays is the day......if you havent sent me your contact info you will not reiceve the e-mail blast that will be going out first thing in the AM with information about the clubs initial meet and greet.

This email blast will contain members name and e-mail addresses, some basic information on how we will be moving forward as a club and topics that need to be addressed during the meet and greet, as well as other details related to our first meet and greet such as location and time.

The organizational process will go fast as the point of the club is to get out on the road having a good time with our jeep's with like minded people and meet a few new friends in the process!

If there is anyone you havent reached out to that is a jeep owner in the local and might be interested, by all means make contact with them asap!

Just wanted to throw this out there on the page. We have a pretty large Facebook group called Indiana Hoosier Off Road. Just a bunch of guys that talk off road, sell parts, buy stuff, but most importantly make events. Events are so much easier to make and organize on Facebook. Check it out. If you like it, keep checking back! If not, I'll still find all of you on here! For the new guys around Indy, I'm from Fishers and at school at Purdue University in Lafayette. So give me a holler if you ever want to do anything!

Names Christopher Frederick Lewis on Facebook. Send me an add if you'd like.
