Badlands trip Oct 19th

Come one, come all to the Badlands with us! Enjoy the great fall foliage, cooler temps & meet some Jeep people. Could use some rigs with winches if things get exciting. Flags required!

Note: date changed from 18th to 19th.

I need to correct the date. It should be Sunday, the 19 of October. Sorry for the confusion.

DAAAAAANG!!!! What the heck happened? Are you and the pup ok? You know, if it will drive, now you can get a little CRAZY on the tails and then take it to get it fixed.

You should come get a quote from the body shop at the dealership I work at.

Pretty sure the axle is damaged. No way I'm driving it until that's confirmed.

Hopefully will know more in a day or two. Happened early Saturday morning, so no one has had a chance to take a close look. 3-day weekend, pfft.

(Interstate, distracted driver who swerved too late, over corrected and slammed into me. Everybody is fine, I'm just heartbroken.)

Badmaac, no dumb question at all. Badlands requires a flag that extends 2' above the highest pt of rig. W that said, depends on where u attach it and what length u buy. I bought an 8' and made a insert for hitch. Snapped it off at redbird-must of stuffed it mud. My bolt is 1/2" dia and 1 1/2" long. U can drill metal bumper, use existing hole, run topless and zip strip it to rollbar or whatever. Just make sure to b 2'above the rig. People sell spare tire mounts for around $80. Hope this helps! C u there on SUNDAY!

I just zip tie mine to my spare tire. Don't buy zips there though. They're salty. I'll have some with me you can use

you can buy any flag it just needs to be above the highest point of vehicle by a couple feet i believe. I just bought mine at the park since they have a lifetime replacement warranty on em if they break. I know of guys buying flags at tractor supply for cheap if you want to go a different route.

I am unsure if they sell just a flag. i think they sell the pole and attaching nuts assembled only. Any old orange marker flag will do as far as I know. Hell maybe even an orange plastic bag lol. At first I thought it was a dumb rule but I do understand since there are lots of blind spots and all trails are 2 way so it helps avoid collisions

Here is a pic of my TJ at Badlands, and the flag I purchased there. It is bolted through an existing hole that is where the stock rear bumper is attached. They even had tools there to attach it.

Yea, it was required at Badlands, but not at Redbird. It is a good idea though.

Are you from Pa.? I would love to take my TJ to Rauchcreek!!! I have seen quite a few videos on youtube of that place.

My wifes family lives in Pa. and it is some beautiful country.

Have a safe trip Zombie. I look forward to going wheeling with you sometime. Hmmmmmm.... Mooresville huh? Man, I have made a lot of trouble in that little town over the years. Pat's Tavern was one of the first bars I ever played music in.
